You are alone, driving out of state when all of a sudden your car dies. You realise your car died and so did everyone else's. Nobody's phones are working. You have the sinking feeling that an Electromagnetic Pulse went off. You are surrounded by strangers from all walks of life. Everyone has very limited resources. Would you join forces or disappear on your own? What would be your main goal after this decision?

Oh make a hard one...
Early stages the "group" is purely safety in numbers...
So knowing its my car I have a base level of supplies to keep me going (I'm on my own and out of state so alien territory)
So... What next... First important thing is establish what is the cause, and confirm... (So check a few items to see if burnt out) knowledge beats speculation (and remember the damage from a emp is like a full overload on all electronic devices... Only going all as staying with scenario)
Now noticing the "refugees" I'm best off acting like a sheep, grab what I have, and join the heard...
This point my pirioty is to befriend a family, preferred young/confused hopefully non drug issues and with a bigger bonus a local
At this point my role changes to use numbers to survive, hopefully keep a win win
So that's established what's my mission... To get home...
What's the mission for this family... Keep them alive, teach them basic skills to survive and make sure they understand its a relationship of convenience...
To trust... There will be none To longevity to the relationship... Min to none...
Unfortunately they would use me as much as I use them...
Lone wolf style in this situation will be noticed and be more risk than its worth

Disappear on my own unless I'm around people I know and trust in which case they're coming with me. Then either via river, by foot or by bike that I've acquired, speed is essential and whilst I have a BOB in my car, I would drop most of it if it means I get home a day earlier. There's nothing in my pack I have to have, it's merely back up. I'm usually not further than 50kms from my home, though knowing 'murphies law' I'd be further away. My first and most important requirement is getting home as it's my best chance from here.
