It was mentioned in one of the other threads about conflict betweeb Sunni and Shiite muslims
The Saudis (main Sunni power) are pissed that Qatar said something nice about Iran (Shiite power). Meanwhile, the US is best mates with the Saudis despite the terror groups all being Sunni (most of the 9/11 attackers were Saudis), while they continually butt up against the Iranians despite the fact that Shiites actively fight the Sunni extremists.
I'm just waiting to see what happens once Saudi's oil reserves are diminished to the point that their government can't afford to keep providing huge subsidies to the population. All the princes and other aristocrats that rule the country will no doubt go into exile in London or Paris to escape the angry mobs that finally realise the country is fexked without oil money.

Annnnd dont forget the pipline conflict in those areas as well. The other day I saw something on youtube that said that Australia will surpass Qatar in production of gas, wonder if we should worry.
