Has anyone else been reading about what's going on between India and Pakistan? If this brews into war we might get our first glimpse at how two nuclear states may use or not use nuclear weapons in battle (stupid idea if they do though, but as it is an option unlike whenever America attacks non-nuclear capable [insert jihadistan] this can set precedent for future conflict between nuclear states). www.abc.net.au/news/2019-03-03/india-and-pakistan-soilders-clash-again-in-fresh-tension/10865232

They have been at this "spat" for lack of a better word, for maybe close to 100 years ?? Who knows how many ups and downs they have had. Don't know what, if anything is different with this flare up that would cause escalation.
Yes.. My guess is in a one on one, India has the upper hand. But who all would step in with Pakistan ?? Would anyone step in with India ??

Given that India is a member of B.R.I.C's its highly likely that the rest of the members would either directly or indirectly support India to some degree and given the colourful history between Hindus and Muslims its most probable you would see several countries rally to the aid of Pakistan its very important to note that Pakistan has openly stated they could never win a conventional war against India so I guess they already have eyes on non conventional methods maybe exploding goats or something or perhaps it was a polite way to warn India of the very real outcome of any major conflict between the two
To break it down to purely geo political terms the supporting nations and by support it could mean anything from logistics to money to troops on the ground it looks a little like this
India Main supporters USA = USA President said to be pro-India due to receiving a lot of funding from Hindus in his campaign for president. Russia = Russia has been a close ally of India since its independence and they are also one of the biggest partners in bilateral trade.
Pakistan Main supporters China = China is said to be an ally of Pakistan to fulfil its oil needs as well as battle India’s growth as a powerful Asian nation. Turkey = Pakistan also has Turkey on its side after they were both part of an alliance that was formed by the USA against the Soviet Union. Saudi Arabia = Saudi Arabia is also a fan of Pakistan being a Sunni Muslim country and the Saudi military is also trained by Pakistan.
Now it would be interesting to see what matters most to theses guys at the end of the day is it money or ideology lets hope its money
The risk of a much larger conflict is there but its going to come down to if anyone wants part of a war that guaranties suicide

I'm with Tim on this one ... this spat will still be going in its same piss-ant style as it always has for another 100 years from now.

Better stock up on turmuric eh? I think it's only made in India. I'll be ok - I got some growing in a pot in the back yard.
