Do not consume food, medication or cosmetics produced in China..............TOXIC! Do not rely on our Authorities to declare imported Chinese products safe for you to consume! Even the Chinese will avoid as much as possible!

Add this to a long list of items..
In North America.. Contaminated pet food. Other livestock feed (?) Baby formula.. You name it what else. And that is just from China.
We get a lot of "product of India" items in grocery stores. In most cases there are similar items from other places that are better.
Also a lot of Kellogs products are imported from China. Maybe not directly, but ultimately from there. If you call there consumer phone number, the canned answer is product of "North America" That could mean imported to Mexico of other country on the lower end of Mexico, packaged or processed and then imported to Canada.
Be cautious. Read labels. If in doubt.... Put it back...

It's also very important to remember that a lot of food in our supermarkets that is labelled "Product of New Zealand" is toxic filth sourced from China, shipped to and packaged in NZ and then exported to Australia! Naturally our Goobermint allows this to happen without warning citizens!

one of the scariest products from china must be the tinned smoked oysters. Can't imagine eating an esturine filter feeding animal that originates from such a polluted area.
And yes ... Chinese people that can afford it, buy lots of Australian sourced foods because they respect our safety standards.

It find it sinister the amount of food that is now produced in China and other lower standard countries that is sold in our supermarkets. We export the best and now increasingly eat the crap left over. I’ve gone back to shopping at IGA, it’s slightly more expensive but the produce is much higher quality most of the time. My neighbour supplies veg to them on a casual basis at the local level, i like that.
I’ll never support Australians eating sh!tpond food from China.

Naturally the scumbags in our Goobermint allows this to happen without warning citizens! This. You may think that NZ is clean, but their food labelling laws are so lax that if Chines produce is imported and put in a can, they can call it product of NZ. Until they fix this it is not safe to buy from NZ.

"Made in China" = "For external use only".

Was at an Asian market or two in Adelaide the past few days - lots, and I mean, lots, of tinned meat (pork & beef) from China. Think I'd rather play Russian Roulette with 5 rounds - better odds.

All meat products from china will be farmed in filthy feedlot conditions. Avoid on both ethical and on health grounds.

Its funny you mention lots of tinned meat products, as no-one buys them in China unless other meat is unavailable. Even with swine flu killing off all the pork stock last year, my local supermarket always had the same amount of dusty undisturbed tinned pork and fish products for sale. Now that we have the coronavirus in play I was expecting some to be sold, but when I was in the supermarket this morning it looked like the only canned stuff that was out of stock was a local type of canned congee (rice porridge). Spam and local equivalents seemed untouched. But yeah, I would never buy canned meat in China. The only locally canned food I do buy is baked beans and tomato paste; and then only buy the one brand that is exported.
