I use a 15/20/40 metre vertical for daily use without an atu, and can tune to anything else with an atu ... if you are interested in the design DM me.

This topic caused a fracas with me years ago when I posted up about it. Have canned meat for 13 years with narry a problem, and it's more widely done in Australia than most people would think. And, I would use whole or half chickens/ducks, but beef was always cubed (only for convenience as it's then ready out of the jar tip straight in to a casserole pot). This process tenderises meat incredibly well, so tough old buzzards and hoof are perfect for this process instead of the waste pile or dog meat. Cheerio.

12v power packs won't cut it. Even my YAESU FTdx10 draws over 2 amps on standby (receiving) and transmitting at 100W it can draw up to 25amps!

YAESU-991A will do the lot for you, but needs an external PSU.

Cheeky batsrads. What transceiver ya looking at getting? Still looking, my budget is not great. So im looking at older units.
Basically have a $300 budget currently.
The goal with the SDR is to be able to atleast listen until i can get a transceiver. Something in a HF at a minimum. Have UHF/VHF covered, wouldnt mind a all in one unit, but im looking at 1K and up.

SDR is Software Defined Radio, the RTL is the chipset used t run the bugger. Originally based on DTV functionality.
Just simply, these are radio receivers built into a dongle. No need for internet either.

Gladys just sacked my son from his $150k pa tradie job because he won't get the experimental vaccine. But the tradies who live a couple of km away are good to go with no vaccine. That's just plain farked mate!

She told us how to pack the jars, and that it's easy. She didn't tell us about the bit where you actually put it in the canning bath, how long, What it looks like afterwards, et.c. ... ? Pressure canner, not water bath mate. They come out looking cooked pretty much.... As for times, it depends on jar size mainly.
