I would almost certainly make like a tree, but first... Sometimes in a wrol there are diseases going around. I'd have some yellow "quarantine" tape on me (or improvise and label some scene/emerg tape with "quarantine" and a disease name (whatever is worst within likelihood - h5n7, cholera... ?) then tape it over the front and maybe back doors. To add to the effect, I'd pour bleach near a door or window (so you can smell it). And have some medical kit - gloves, bag or three of used looking tissues - lying near the front. 50/50 whether that results in the place being torched, but there's something that might be worth trying... Apologies to whoever's house it used to be, but that's probably my best chance of having any cache left unless there were hidden or hideable doors etc. Very smart! If you could get a corpse and leave it near the door rotting or charred from a burn, it would add significantly to the effect also.

If you have a bolt action and DB shotgun vs AR15s though, not good odds. I disagree. A bolt action or shotty in the right hands can be lethal over and above a semi or full auto. It depends on whose hands what is in.

If vpn's arent such a good idea, why did Russia just make them illegal? Why has Apple now had to comply with China's laws in removing almost all of its apps which have vpn's except those which the Chinese Gov accept?
VPN's are a statement of human rights and human decency. They are a protest to anyone who gets too big for their boots in positions over people that they cannot control them. Privacy is yours, it belongs to you, and it should be only you who decide what aspects of such you reveal and that which you dont.
Im all for real crime getting busted, but when you realize how many folk get trampled on in the process, its not worth it. Catch criminals, go after them, but dont raid millions of peoples privacy in doing so, its the equivalent of your house being raided to find criminals.
A VPN is the starting point for online privacy, safety and more, there is a lot more needed.

Crawl out of the house through the neighbors fence with the family taking as much as we could carry.
Before going, open all the gas up in the house and cook off a can of fly spray on 30min in the microwave.
Also light some small fires in the house to burn the joint down.
The distraction should give more attention to the house than us having left.
From there get out of the entire place head bush.

Carp are fine to eat, ive done it. Catch, bleed quickly, fillet, cut the red flesh away from the white flesh, wash, cook the white flesh.
The only issue is that they are full of bones, you can mince them to overcome this and benefit from the cartilage as well.
You can put them in a bath of fresh water for a couple of days if they are alive as well, this will clean them up, then eat them.

George Phillips, an elderly man from NSW, was going up to bed, when his wife told him that he'd left the light on in the garden shed, which she could see from the bedroom window. George opened the back door to go turn off the light, but saw that there were people in the shed stealing things. He phoned the police on 000, who asked, ”Is someone in your house?” He said “No," but some people are breaking into my garden shed and stealing from me Then the police dispatcher said "All patrols are busy, you should lock your doors and an officer will be along when one is available" George said, "Okay." He hung up the phone and counted to 30. Then he phoned the police again. "Hello, I just called you a few seconds ago because there were people stealing things from my shed. Well, you don’t have to worry about them now because I just shot and killed them both; the dogs are eating them right now," and he hung up. Within five minutes, six Police Cars, a SWAT Team, a Helicopter, two Fire Trucks, a Paramedic and an Ambulance showed up at the Phillips’ residence, and caught the burglars red-handed. One of the Policemen said to George, "I thought you said that you'd shot them!" George said, "I thought you said there was nobody available!" You know this is sad, but its also true. Threaten to sort it out yourself and they turn up.

I've never actually broken one of my own bones (although in sparring I had my rib cracked, and in real situations I've broken the bones of others. But they're accounts for other times...). I once cut my finger down to the bone - and at the time I worked as a concert pianist and piano accompanist which made things very interesting - and I also once banged my shin into a brick retaining wall. It's quite surprising how white the shin bone is once cleaned of blood and sinew. I also lay claim as to the only person I personally know who has ever seen his own skull. That wasn't a good day... 'Ive broken the bones of others', ''i personally saw my own skull'?!?!? Yer well remind me never to mess with you then....far out Pete!

Um, you do realise this is barely more than a scratch, but an interesting discussion point, yes? Although in years past I have seen my own bones more than I probably should have... Stuff that! ive never seen my bones but ive snapped a few badly, but didnt push through the flesh thankfully. Yer mate, as i said, the worst cut that i had was a small cut that got infected, probably same as youve got, shocking torture of continual pain.

spit on it and forget about it!
just kidding.
most cuts i get heal without any attention, and i get a lot! some pretty deep too. i clean them out with water usually, squeeze them out, and bandaid. i must get a steel left hand glove for when i harvest animals, im quick and can be careless and with shaving sharp knives it sucks.
once i bled all the way back to a car, had to take off my flannel and wrap my hand up to stop the bleeding......never hastily throw a knife into a fishing bucket and then forget it and try to push a bag into the bucket...darn thing almost punched through my palm to the other side.
another time i woke up covered in blood, blood all around me too, 2.5hours of microsurgery kinda fixed that up, thumb works now. but the most wicked cut ive had was a tiny cut from a sheet of aluminium which was infected and kept me up for days throbbing.
i like scars, i just hate getting them, get well soon pete!

Hang on, im not finished, and i loooove shuving these sort of parroted banter back down the throats of these foolish uneducated folk who have a cause with their 'opinions' void of facts and truths.
How did we get on to 'justice' and 'the mass of a society' deciding on what is deemed 'ethical', bahahaha, its the bean counters that make the laws, our democrazy is stuffed, it works on balance of power and pushing a bill through that some other bod holds the vote to get it through or not doing a deal with what he wants in order to push it through. On top of that, its a left media influence (minority) that helps change societies views.
In order to look forward, you have to go backwards into history!
Great lets talk about 'Justice', so you can go to a doc full term in vic and say 'i dont want it, kill it', without your boyfriend or husbands consent, yet biology and science declare inarguably, 'life starts at conception', and then, if you hit a pregnant lady in the stomach, and she loses the kid, its manslaughter or murder, but you can kill it if you want...hmmm, lets get back to the lion, and trophy hunters and flex our zeal and threaten hunters if they dont agree with our psychotic opinions!!!
I think i should be banned from this thread for a while for the good of this forum and safety of my computer right now...grrrrr!!

Wow, I've read this after 3 yrs, and still love the topic - anyone care to add to the conversation??? Yer wow! Thanks for the resurrection, missed this one completely. From a quick read it seems we have some of those nutcase crap speakers who try to align 'humans' with 'animals' in the same breathe, and or push 'their form of hunting' and tell everyone else theirs is wrong. I have no doubt that some members comments belong in the OP's facebook link, as they are emotionally irrational and fruitcaked in their head, not considering the facts! Loving Big Ted's responses, absolutely agree, thread hijack to Melissa Bachman and the personal shots, hahah, 'not a real hunter', 'would not be able to hunt our bush pigs' bahahahaha, obviously know nothing about Melissa, nothing at all, bahahaha. But what gets me is how they know nothing, get shown they are wrong and then try and keep going, oh dear, pride cometh before a fall! Why not take me on with this story, i enjoy a good punch on with these idiots!....or should i say 'advocates for murder', fools! If you dont put a price on an animal, it can risk extinction! Do you think the cow, the pig, the sheep, the goat, et cetera risk extinction, ah nope! Fools, heaps of impoverished people get to eat as a result, more lions are created and numbers grow, thus saving the species, stimulating the economy, and more. You care more for your opinion that truth and facts. Guarantee its 'save the whales, kill the babies' mentality too. Fools! no clue of the environmental destruction that some species create or, the predatorial aspect of a growing number of animals, management is essential for more than even this. 'Trophy hunters are bad people' bahahaha, really! 'This lion was hunted drugged and in a cage', bahahahah, really! Bring it!

I think some people are missing the point. If you have no interest in your health do you really have an interest in your survival? I believe that an obese person (not a person who is carrying a bit of extra weight) has shown no interest in their personal survival, despite how many m4's, gadgets or calories they have stockpiled. Same as a heavy smoker, alcoholic, drug addict. Admittedly the bloke you are referring too was a big fella, (Gate Guard on the report) and had the roses which can be a sign of high blood pressure, so yes, in that particular case i would agree with the specific example to some degree. I donime t know about being a fake prepper though, he might struggle with his weight a bit having hard loses due to a slow metabolism. Ive got a friend who i personally watched over months eat 800 calories a day, she only really at 1 meal per day and that was a lot of her problem, very overweight and still time went by and yet didnt lose it hard and fast. So some folk look at food and put on 10kg, i really feel sorry for them tbh. Never the less, being healthy is a prep i must agree, and a wise one at that.

I wonder how it would go having 10 (or 20 or whatever) families living in one of these silos. They probably don't know each other from Adam and to make matters worse many of them would have large egos and be used to getting their own way. Personally I think it would go tits up pretty quick. Still, to have a reasonably unbiased story on prime time TV is interesting and may show a change in attitude towards being prepared. I would think this fella isn't silly and would have yearly stay ins to test everything out with his clients, although i could be wrong, but a system untested with a full load working and living stay in, would be foolish. As a side note, i dont see these 'clients' or this fella as any less Preppers due to my interpretation of what a 'prepper' is, simply someone who prepares. I think that when we begin to broaden that definition with 'requirements' to make the grade so to speak we ostracize people. If you work flat out and or have no clue with all the many details of old school living with many modern twists and equipment's needing to be purchased, et cetera et cetera, you could take the easy route and purchase the thing in one hit. I dont see how that would not make you a prepper, for you have done something to 'prepare' for a disaster. Now, of course like any of us here, a visit and check out of each one of our BOL's and or setups would no doubt raise criticism's as to areas it was lacking or incorrect et cetera, so i dont see how that would make any of us 'not preppers' either, yet we would find ourselves in the same boat as those who purchased in one go a prepper setup. I see it the same as long life buckets of food you can purchase on the pallet, if a prepper doesnt grow, prepare and can, hunt, harvest, store are they any less a prepper because they bought long life food and became a client or customer of someone who did the work for them? I dont think so. I think to be honest, if we looked at this setup and how they operate with their clients, many of us might find ourselves lacking in some departments or just going a different route in our systems. Am i incorrect? Thoughts.
