You can get soda/sparkling mineral water in cans in some supermarkets. I don't see the point personally, though I suppose it offers something to cook in.

I'm thinking plain, still, boring water, rather than soda/sparkling mineral water. I'm looking at drinking water stores, as the bottled water is starting to take up massive amounts of space. Cans may help reduce the space required, in the same way that a carton of 24 beer cans takes less space than 24 stubbies of similar volume.

Got ya and that makes sense. Been thinking similar about square versus round food storage containers. There's always the roof space [not too much water obviously due to the weight] and under the house if you've got the space and those Aldi 10L bricks [especially the new ones] stack pretty well and are good volume to space.

That's the dream, frostbite. Unfortunately for me that's a little hard to store up in the metro area...

That's the other part of the dream - a river/dam with trout & marron.
Can't say I've eaten platypus before...

Hey, it's good to see that there are a few less things to worry about than the rest of us - yes, that's the dream!!! Land, water, and a constant flow of edible wildlife!!!

Even though I've got river and lake within a couple of hundred, being urban=rural, I think it wise I store plenty as well as have a set up for rain collection.

I'm just glad no-one's yet made a joke about cans of dehydrated water...
