Greece still has the referendum on the weekend to vote whether to stay in the Euro or not. It is expected that it will be a YES vote although there are gathering demonstrations to 'encourage' voters to vote NO by the hard, hard left (communists). If they leave it will be the collapse of the EURO as the PIIGS having been wanting a way out too. PMs have slid also since the weekend. Bruce Bilson was being interviewed on another matter (tax cuts that come in today for small business, the increase in the pension and pay rise to low income earners) when he was asked his opinion on Greece. He stated that the government is watching the situation closely which we would hope they are but what I picked up was that the Government is more worried about a 'knock on' affect. In other words - a panic. Keep your ears and eyes open people. “The problem with socialism is that you eventually run out of other people's money.” ― Margaret ThatcherAttachments:

It won't just affect the euro, it will effect the world on some level, obviously some countries more than others but I read on other preppers pages we are set to feel a much bigger gfc in October. Time to join a local preppers group and get your preps finalised if the banks go down then the supermarkets are likely to follow then what....

I dunno if we'll be effected by/in Sep/Oct or not but just in case I'm taking steps. Was speaking to a neighbour the other day, he said "All I'm interested in right now is water, food and guns", a bit extreme maybe but I confess to thinking along similar lines of late

I think other countries will step in to help Greece - the roll on effects if Greece gets no help will potentially a world wide catastrophe. Interesting times ahead.

They already stepped in it didn't help they were spending more then they made for so many years and borrowed so much money that nobody will loan them anymore unless they can prove it won't be wasted wich can't really be done I have been watching it closely on the news and a urgent affairs like programs, we are going to feel it here, as to the extent is very debatable but we are in such massive debt in aus I personaly don't see how we can come through it looking good at all
