What does being prepared mean for you?

Preparedness is taking action to: a) reduce the negative impact of potential future events, and b) reduce the likelihood of such a negative impact from even happening.
This involves everything from wearing a helmet when cycling or a seatbelt when in a car, to preparing for utter collapse of every system we're familiar with in the world as we know it.

Just to clarify, I'm a long way from being fully prepared.

Of late and only MAYBE not having to stand in line like we have just witnessed in Greece. I say maybe because if something happened like a bushfire, I would struggle loading preps etc on my own if Hubby was stopped say the other side of the fire. But I would have an emergency bucket (grab and go) and GHB that I could load in a few seconds and flee.
