For those of us who are interested in basic metal work such as knife/spear making but don't have a large blacksmiths forge to do metal heat treating, I've found this video for a homemade setup that runs off a LPG BBQ bottle.

Size can be adapted to suit needs, the guy also does a small version made from a coffee can.

Bring a compass. It’s awkward when you have to eat your friends.
