I am keen to try and review. Also more than happy to pay for samples. 24 hr weeks worth is great, whenever is fine.

One question - have you checked for any shipping constraints in Australia? I know that in WA it's damn hard to bring any food in (although this should have been treated and packed well enough to get through).

Can I get a vote please on what you guys think would be the biggest sellers. As I need to let the supplier know so he can quote me on the packaging labels that need to be done to comply with Aust food labeling stds.

I can't add a poll at the moment for some reason but I'm leaning towards the beef and chicken meals in 24hr packs. to keep a simple line and reduce startup costs on packaging etc

For me, I'd go the sardine options first (but as you say they won't be popular). I'd also consider the smell these may omit if needing to remain unnoticed. I'd therefore vote for beef, then chicken. My last choice would be the stew potato with tomato - I'm not big on spuds, and I'd want at least one protein-based meal per day if at all possible. Joey let me know if you'd like a poll made up (it has to be done as a new thread).

We need the protein :-)

Ok MRE's are on the side burner at the moment, a LOT of permits and paperwork involved in bringing those into the country (will work on sourcing a locally made one in the mean time)
Now looking at sourcing backpacks and such equipment for hunters/go-bags/GHB/etc Have several size and design variation options, as well as colours. What size backpacks are you guys after? 35L? 40L? 50L? 1ML? All will have MOLLE on them and I'll only be looking at getting bags that I would be willing to use (quality wise) and am in talks at the moment with a supplier to get some samples that I can play with and test the quality of.

Hey joey.
Just a couple of questions mate.
1. Have you thought of sourcing the stuff yourself locally and making these your own branded mre's? There must be ways you can buy bulk dehydrated peas, corn and keep the cost at a minimum.
2. Damnit, i forgot my othet questions. Ill edit this when i remember. ....

I could reth, but I would have to outlay for a dehydrator, packaging, packaging machines, commercial food production licenses( which could he hard doing it from home) It could be,I'll have a think about it and some research into the options. In the meantime I've contacted a mob in WA that makes rat packs to enquire about stocking them. Maybe get a few and see what I can do in copying them.

Update..... The WA mob is going to screw me on price, offering me only $4 off their retail price.
I've contacted a couple of other companies in regards to their freeze dried/dehydrated foods and meals to put together some kits.
