A question for those that own a Ruger Charger pistol, the thread at the muzzle is stated to be 1/2 x 28 UNF. However, on my son's pistol (which he bought brand new) the thread appears too fine to fit a flash hider that screws quite happily onto other rifles with a 1/2 x 28 UNF thread. Anyone got any ideas or had similar issues with their Charger? Oooo, I just assumed it was 1/2-28, I'll go check. BTW, it's UN EF (Extra fine), even the local bolt shop had never heard of it.

What flash hider is it and what other firearms does it actually fit?

OK, just checked.
I have a 1/2-28 tap, I removed the flash hider and the tap threaded just fine into it. So I guess it's a 1/2-28 UNEF thread as expected.

Being an American gun the ruger is certainly 1/2x28 unless it was bought used and someone changed it.
The flash hider could be 1/2x20 maybe? Its a common thread for a lot of rifles in Aus.

In my case I suppose I just spent a heck of a lot of time researching and reading and reading and researching, then buying and more researching For example if you read enough for sale adds and/or specification pages eventually you pick up on things like this. That's how I found out that most small calibers have a 1/2-28 thread, and larger ones have a 5/8-24 thread. I'd love to get some proper training, but so far that's not been an option.

Have a Remington 300 blackout with an ultra fine thread I had trouble getting a muzzle break or tap and die Think it was 5/8 ultra fine An engineer gun nut mate of mine imported the correct die from the states( apparently it is a common muzzle break/ can over there) but I found cleavers had a muzzle break that fitted perfectly

Two totally unrelated topics but I need advice and assistance in both, so thought I'd kill two birds with one request.
I want to add a blood pressure monitor to my home med kit. Can anyone recommend a good quality one please? I don't mind paying extra for quality, especially where medical equipment is concerned.
I can, but if you are not in a hurry we can talk about them at the meet in June! You can have electronic or manual. I would suggest both. Up to $200 for electronic(Automatic) and a up to $100 for the manual one.

Ok Frostbite, what sorta thing are you looking for? A portable sorta thing to put in a medical bag that you might carry? Or something that would live at a BOL/Basecamp. Are you looking for something manually operated or something electronic?
Anything from Welch Allyn or Nonin is acceptable.
Really you get what you pay for, there is a reason why hospital machines cost several thousands of dollars and the ones you get from Aldi are much less.
Hope this helps

" but concerned about human error giving inaccurate readings." In my experience with automatic machines can have just as much inaccuracy. Electronic machines often have a great deal of difficultly getting a reading on someone who has an irregular pulse - this is common in a lot of people. There is some evidence online to show that there is a great deal of difference between manual, electronic machines and then different electronic machines. I haven't read about the meet, perhaps I can bring a few items for people to look at, give some instruction etc.
