Need to buy more powder/primers if Clinton wins. Mass gun ban panic.... ADI powder is sold in the US rebadged. We don't make primers for civilian market locally ... joy! If trump wins, may be we will have a shortage of bricks and other wall building materials.... Okay I am kidding, I just dont know what he is really up to. Chances are Clinton will win. There's quite a few problems with that, namely the 4 investigations that are still on going and the potential constitutional crisis and the large number of people about 83% think she did something wrong and 51% that she did something illegal. Do the investigations all disappear [despite the public evidence] and create an unstoppable outrage for some, possibly. As has been stated, if it went that way, then you bet China and Russia would be throwing their hand in supporting one side or another. In terms of shortages, possibly. ADI powder sells for half the price in the US, same powder and it rather annoys me that we have in effect a government-mandated monopoly [due to red tape] to keep out competition. Never the less it's made here, though shortages of supply will hit our own market like they did previously. Some cartridges were originally made for black powder also such .303/12 gauge. Would I want to go that way, no, it's messy as hell, sulfur isn't mined here so problematic but can be made from various sources and you don't ultimately even need to put sulfur in BP [it effects performance], but it's an option. For primers, if desperate, educate yourself on how to re-load them using caps from cap-guns or matches, youtube videos abound.

I will be fairly sorted for TEOTWAWKI events, provided my stash doesn't get looted. As a sport shooter, I buy in bulk, usually stay at 15000-20000 mark for primers and at least 3kg each of as30 and ap50. It will laat me many years for survival needs but won't last me two years for sport.
As for toy caps, I have actually used them on my ·44 ball and cap before, maybe I "need" to buy one in stainless hahaha

For sure bud, I have plenty of the components for certain ammo for the same reason you mention, aka sports shooting.

You only make a profit or a loss on the day you sell PMs back for monopoly money. I've got the same total oz today as I had yesterday.
The spike was fairly short lived, we'll see what happens when everyone wakes up tomorrow to see the result. (a few hours time)
