China gradually becoming more militarily capable and more assertive as the US is run aground by a moron. Japan becoming more militaristic in the face of threats from China and NK. The ADF still hamstrung by major procurement blunders. I expect interesting times in the next decade. I'm keen to know ... what tops your list of procurement blunders?

JSF tops my list. I hope the damn things turn out to be as good as advertised. Considering their cost and considerable teething problems. The Helos having 'treatment' being the Tigers? I'd also heard of reliability/range issues with the uh60 is that resolved?
I feel a bit sad when I walk around the museum up at Woomera ... it's discouraging that Australia used to be at the forefront of space and missile tech up until the 60's and now we just blunder along acquiring stuff from overseas that is increasingly being matched or bettered by the opposing teams in our region or just doesn't work 'as advertised'.

Aluminum hull patrol boats not meant to go off coastlines which we take as far as shanghai weren't the best idea.
