After a set of hiking/hunting boots. There is oviously a huge range out there, but seeing as how local supply is very limited, I will probably need to buy a pair online. Just wondering if anyone has any personal preferences. Looking for something extremely durable, but obviously good to walk in. It's just hard not having anywhere within hours to go try anything on. Any recommendations would be appreciated. Cheers.

Agree with Frostbite. They are such a difficult thing to recommend as it very's per person.
Boots of any kind are always good with the added protection the higher up they sit, with extra protection on the ankles,
I don't mind using Merrels hiking boots. Also Salomon hiking boots are another good choice.
But sometimes I'm real comfortable walking out with a pair of steel toe Blue Steel work boots. Wear them a lot when out camping/hiking/hunting.

Socks matter as well. Get good durable tough socks to go with them as sometimes when stalking it's better to go bootless.

If I have a lot of walking to do, I wear my work steel-caps. Find the boot that suits you and stick with it.

Like Peter, when I go out, I use my steel cap work boots, Mongrel AT's with side zip. I usually use my older boots for this job as they are well worn in and comfy to wear and walk distances in and I don't have to worry about getting funny looks at work with blood spilled over my boots from processing a carcass lol
