My lawn is a couch-type grass and I have no end of trouble keeping it from spreading throughout the plant beds. I also get it from neighbouring yards.
Weed mat helps a little, but it still spreads under it. Mulch actually helps the stuff grow, so that's not really an option.
Does anyone have any solutions to this? I'm not really keen on weeding the plant beds every week to control the stuff.
Would a spreading plant like mint choke it out?

two main options I've used are deep barrier edging in the soil and herbicide. But it is always an ongoing battle ...
