Thanks for the links Simon, and for your input here. It has generated some interesting conversations, and at least the tv episode was fairly level-headed. There are many nutjobs in this sub-culture, hence why we are very private and quick to distance ourselves from them.
Thanks again.

Just had a look at your channel.
I notice we wear the same haircut. Number 2 on the sides is it? 😁
The use of chess pieces is interesting. Let's make the media the pawns in our endeavour to bring prepping into the mainstream.
I will follow your channel with interest.

Mate, prepping only really gets media saliva up when as a 'group' you have the ability to defend yourselves...otherwise we could be classed as hobbyists...in fact drone owners are more in the shit at the moment! Lol...

Lol... Your average lone urban / suburban prepper type is mostly well meaning albeit seriously deluded. Apparently the top tier in this so called Prepper Subculture are the "Militant Survivalist" types as identified by Simon Henry himself, although in my opinion even some of these folk have serious issues. As law-abiding as they appear to be these individuals are apparently subject to fairly rigorous Government Surveillance, a fact confirmed long before Simon Henry ever raised his head in public. The MS know this and the Feds know they know and yet they carry on with their mission full throttle regardless! I have had lengthy discussions with some of these people over several years and would like to pass on some of what I've learned:- Militant Survivalist Training Note Number 1 - How much accumulated material crap you have in your house or bug out location is of no consequence unless you are Physically, Mentally, Morally, Spiritually and Academically prepared! Without this core preparation all your accumulated shit is just rich booty for raiders! If you want more of what I've learned just let me know and I'll follow up.

Norseman, I don't think this forum is ready for CRF. Stuff like that should remain secret militant survivalist business. Godammit! CRF Embargo in place already and I only just started my dissertation!

This statment is spot on Simon, "This is something that I believe would be best achieved by somebody who sits outside of the Sub-Culture itself and by someone who is acknowledged (in terms of mainstream public expectations) as an ‘acceptable’ authority on the subject."
It does amaze me that as adults we only accept somethings if an 'acceptable' authority tells us hey this is ok or this is the way to do something. What you are doing will benefit us as a subculture but will have more of an impact on those who have been wary of it. My personal thoughts on the issue is that the end goal is not just to get us accepted but that the idea of preparedness becomes just another part of every households daily life just as we have insurance for our cars, or health insurance etc.
I for one appreciate your efforts in de-nutting (is that a word lol) the idea of prepardness.

Thank god Im not like him...Im broke lol...

Incidentally that word de-nutting is the bomb...if it wasnt a word it should be and Im using it!... De-nutting, yeh...kind of something that should be somehow reflective of removing Aussie PM's...lol
