I tried this method today-not good. I used their instructions, as my jars were 1 litre/quart, so had them in the oven for 80 min - rice all burnt.
Think next time I will freeze the rice for 48 hrs ( that also kills bugs etc ), then bottle in sterilised jars.

Worth adding a o2 absorber as well if just freezing them then bottling? I assume you would bring back to room temp before botting to avoid any moisture in the bottle that would need a moisture absorber added

What benefit is there in canning vs storing in a mylar bag with o2 absorber?
