I like this video. Mostly as an example of remaining calm, while in a very dangerous and scary situation.
I think if more people take the time to watch these sorts of film clips more people will have better ideas about how to act under stress.
Hopefully other members can add other videos of different scenarios to this thread.

Great vid, and definitely a great example of how not to shit yourself.
I've said it before, training training training. Practice. Muscle memory. As soon as you know what you're doing and you do things without thinking about it, the second you're under pressure you've got a far better chance of responding in the 'right way' even if your brain locks up. That being said, as I've mentioned before, we can never know what our lizard brains will actually do when push comes to shove. But training that's designed to get you doing things without thinking about it is a great way to combat the other part of your brain that wants to react when you can't think.
It's hard in the prepping world. A lot of things you can't train for without freaking people out unnecessarily. Not to mention that 'simulated' exercises are always a little bit lower key than the real thing. But they will still induce an adrenaline response if you practice your scenario properly even if it's just a light response.
This is a pretty good remind for me. I haven't done any simulated practices with my family because at the moment the world is hectic enough. But there's a lot of things that I could be doing (creating written step by step plans for the kids, making sure I have an actual document with directions out of town on it rather than relying on what's in my head etc). They're things that I assume that because I know what I would HOPE I would do, I would do it. Never assume you'll do what you expect!
