Ive been trying a type of trap that catches the rodent in a square tube, which is balanced with an open flap at one end. When the little s..t goes in to feast on the peanut butter, the tube falls back, closing the door and trapping it. Then you can ley it go, feed t to the chooks or drown it etc. They seem to work well and the beastie doesn't suffer with a broken back etc as in conventional traps. I'm here for moral support, ignore the gun. Sounds interesting, got a pic? A broken back sounds much better than the alternative, from a mouse perspective anyway.

Mice tend to die instantly from regular traps. They are even known to have a heart attack if the trap itself doesn't snare them. I've seen this at least twice.
