This may be a confronting post and I apologise up front if I offend anyone. I don’t mean to offend but I am simply making an observation.
basically, I think the majority of people out there are fat and unhealthy. This could be good, or it could be bad for us prepares.
being unhealthy is not good. Your lifestyle suffers, you are limited what you can do and if push comes to shove, the unhealthy people tend to be left behind. I am talking about the obese people out there - and it seems from my general observations, Australia has become an obese society. These things are well known.
so if TSHTF, and many people are left wondering, then most likely the fat and terribly unhealthy people will be the first to cark it - or severely panic. Simply put, they may not have the “ability” to fend for themselves. I mean if they cannot get their fast food, their sugar fix and their daily dosage of carbonated sugar drinks then they will become desperate and do desperate things - or simply die. Don’t forget, panicked people (and a group of them) are very dangerous.
the healthy people though will have the stamina to get through it - having the mental knowledge though is another matter, but being healthy will greatly assist you in adapting to the changes that may be required to overcome whatever SHTF is presented to them.
I am healthy, I am in my mid 50s. Do daily swimming. Lead a physical and active life, do about 150 push-ups everyday and can move very easily and weigh about 76kgs. I can easily walk for a few hours and can ride a pushy for a full day. (I once rode a pushy from Canberra to Sydney in 2 days for a charity event). No-one in my circle of friends is like me.
but the fat people out there worry me. What will become of them? The ones that use and demand a lot of resources, the ones that can’t even comfortably walk 200 metres, the ones that need a daily sugar fix, the ones that can’t carry anything over 2kgs. These people ma be for a very rude shock of society or the economy falls down. These people may cause problems too.
