Way Hey And Up She Rises....
Er-ly in the morning..
Found out today The Irish Rover Band will have an internet concert Saturday 17 April, 12pm, noon, Pacific Daylight time.. Other times, other locations.. What you do is you go to the web site, pick your show, time location, and that is where you would watch the show..

In Canadian folk music the Irish Rovers have been one of my favorites... And the line "WAY HEY AND UP SHE RISES" comes from the Drunken Sailor song they have done for so long.. Many times when I find myself doing something with confidence and determination I will be singing that song or at least it will be running through my head.. Mostly while mowing on the tractor, running the log splitter, chain saw or such... I think it drives Sweetie crazy when I do that.. Once in a while the song in my head will be an old marching Jody ..... you don't want to know about... Trust me..
Blue sky, with low black bottom cloud overcast.. Colder, some wind during the day.. This time next week to be highs 14 - 18C with -7 -9C for lows... Ouch..
Saturday we took 20 some boxes of books to meet someone going past where Mother in law lives.. On these people way back MIL has some things to send to us.. This all arranged through the "Caribou Express" That being the unofficial delivery system running up and down the province.. Works well for us..
Sweetie has an 11 kilo whole pork shoulder thawing.. Will make a number of thing from that now that I have enough snow moved to have access to the smoke house... Looking forward to a big part smoked, slow cooked pork roast with home made fake pineapple, onion, potato, carrots... and a small pinch of rubbed sage...
Will have fat to chill, grind, render lard to jar and store.. When you grind the chilled fat, you get more lard yield and the warm craclins from this are as good as bacon on things.. Used on baked or mashed potato, toast and pancakes are my favorites...
