What is the definition of a rifle range? Is an area used to sight your rifle in a rifle range?

In NSW its illegal to have a rifle range on your property. Who are these politician jerks afraid of ? I don't believe this is anything new, if you want to have a gun range you need to have the approved template and paperwork etc
If you just want to shoot stuff on your property then do so, just don't set up a (permanent) range.

That's it in a nutshell! Chuck a tin can down the paddock and sight your rifle in! Totally legal in NSW providing you have a solid backstop and observe all firearm safety / handling requirements! Build a non compliant, non approved range on your property and the leg humpers will screw more than your leg, especially if they are millennial generation blow ins from the city or the burbs!
