From your wording, I would say that you are referring to communism - whereas I was referring to authoritarian. These are 2 very different idealogies. I was not referring to communism at all. If that what i said is considered communist then the elite have won. The use of the words “going hammer and tongs down the path” made me think you were describing going down a communist road. Simple mistake. my posting was referring to the striking similarity of the current fed government to some of the authoritarian governments from recent history. I wasn’t referring to the state governments though. They talk of democracy, but it just seems to me that there are just too many similarities to other models and they are quick to either strongly condemn or “quieten” groups that don’t tow the same message - and plus use an element of fear (and secrecy to cover their tracks). And now, openly talk of internal passports to travel in our so called free country. Then there are the secret trials, lack of accountability and the so called media that is scared to question or debate for fear of strong legal consequences. there are just too many parallels.

There is a political party here, NDP, used to be out right the Canadian Communist something or another..
The leader a guy from India, with obvious pro India views at the cost of others, wanting to replace the at the moment ruling liberals.. This person was videoed meeting with a group, none his family, all with no masks.... A direct violation of provincial rules...
When questioned he said, oops, sorry, forgot..... This while many others in the province are getting huge fines for .....oops, forgot....
Seems the usual ...do as I tell you, not as I do.... Nothing to see here..... Go about your way...
