Thought I'd add this link - noticed the prices of goods going up? Sizes getting smaller?
Let us know.

Its called 'shrinkflation' where a product is packaged in a slightly smaller or odd shaped package, or indeed in the same package, and less product is included for the same price. Its easy to spot it, just look for an odd weight, say 1.13 kg or 0.760 liters, and you've hit it.
Biology is the only science where multiplication means the same thing as division.

Cotton buds - we were paying, a month ago, $1 for 200. Now the price is $3 for 200, or $4 for 400. Found 600 for $2 at Kmart, but the shelves haven't been re stocked for a while.

Grocery standards are definitely up.
Plain brand pasta of various shapes/bag sizes - Up until about 12 months ago we paid 75c-80c per bag, now it's 95c. A 800g tin of plain brand tomatoes is now 20-30c more expensive.
In fact thinking on it, but about everything that we buy that's home brand is 20-30c more expensive than a year ago. Home brand items are the things I notice the most because they're the staple items that we buy constantly to refill. Brand name items I don't notice as much because those are more ad hoc items that we might not necessarily buy every single shop. It's a good reminder to keep an eye out for things rising though, the staple items in particular are things that we always need in our long term pantry.

Heinz baked bean tins are now only 300g. I think they used to be 425g. Same price though.

Aldies wheat bix, not 1.5 kg box, but 1.13 kg box, and at 10 c more. At least our milk price hasn't gone up, although its getting colder of a morning to extract it !
Bumper sticker seen on a posh British car. "All the parts falling off this motor vehicle are of the very finest British manufacture !"

Heinz now does i think the big 555g tin. But from past experience the tin uses way too much juice and not enough beans.
