Wasn't sure where this would fit so I put it here. given Covid and all, and we can't travel, I rented a van (vehicle ownership in Singapore is frightfully expensive) to celebrate an happy occasion. Here are some photos of the trial which I am happy to say was successful. Wife is keen to keep van camping as a holiday alternative and I'd continue to hone the system until she gives the greenlight to buy a van or van-like passenger car. We van camped at East Coast Park car park.

If yer serious there is a bloke down in Yorklea near Lismore NSW selling 4x4 toyota Hiaces with low km. They look like imports from Japan but i think they’d be a great travel van for 1 or 2 people. 4x4 hiace
Bit exxy but might suit your needs.

its like in Singapore where most vehicles have a lifespan of 10 years or less. Quite a number of cars are exported after 5 years of use.

Lived in a caravan for 20 odd years, loved it. Easy to clean, minimal maintenance, easy to relocate if a bushfire threatened. Had a annex and wood stove.
Everyman's work is a portrait of himself.
