The East coast of Aust is currently 13deg variation, but depending on the age of the maps it'll have variations of this printed on the scale legend. East or west ?? ?? Another thought.... Is the south magnetic pole as far off from true south as in the north ?? ?? Interesting stuff to me, at least.... It moves around a bit. Worked in Mongolia for a year not much access to surveyors so relied on compass. Luckily due north and true north were very close.
