Sounds like something my local gun dealer should do for his loyal customers, such as moi! Unfortunately the terms "selling" and "supplying" have different meanings under law...

They are trying to bring in blood alcohol level limits to boaties in the NT. Not sure of the reason why they are doing this but it’s probably some mexican making their mark on the NT during their 6 month stint up north.
Boat ramps were a favorite spot for the cops when cap’n piss pot got out of his 570 top ender and got into his landcruiser to pull it out of the water. The rule of the road kicked in as soon as they get in the drivers seat.

The rule of the road kicked in as soon as they get in the drivers seat. It's actually a good idea, imho; Alcohol increases body heat loss which reduces your survival time if you fall overboard. It also increase your pulse rate which leads to rapid exhaustion if you have to swim to safety. www.sa.gov.au/topics/boating-and-marine/boat-and-marine-safety/boating-safely/alcohol-drugs-and-boatingDrinking alcohol and being under the influence of drugs reduces your ability to boat safely. Alcohol and drugs affect your judgement, vision, coordination and reflexes—increasing your risk of having a marine incident. Sun, heat, wind, waves and constant motion can increase these effects of alcohol and drugs. Reflexes and response times in emergencies are slowed and swimming ability may be reduced. www.msq.qld.gov.au/Safety/Alcohol-and-drug-ruleswww.boatus.org/alcohol-and-boating/effects/

On a slight tangent ... Anyone here have kindy or junior primary aged kids? The 'food rules' are completely idiotic. We're now being conditioned to accept stupid restrictions from a very young age. One kid has an allergy to a food ... therefore no child can have that food on the premises. And so I wonder ... how the hell did kids born before 2000 ever survive the deadly dangers of the school lunch? What are the statistics? How many kids used to be hospitalised or die from being in the same room as a peanut or boiled egg? Was it a lot? Or ... none? Good question I have also wondered this. But I have to say with Mrs wookie the nurse reporting from the Accident and Medical the anaphylaxis risk is a real time event , I've even seen at my son's skool the lists of kids with severe allergies and standing orders for immediate response . One poor young fellow has to have a small container in the playground with an EpiPen at all times due to a bee allergy. But yeah I used to think it was tough my boy couldn't have a meusli bar or peanut butter sandwich for lunch....

and here I was under the impression that when a thing that was previously lawful became prohibited you were entitled to compensation or does that only apply to federal laws ? im pretty sure you are entitled to compensation for surrendering previously legal and lawful items when a law is passed prohibiting their possession I know its in the federal act

How many kids used to be hospitalised or die from being in the same room as a peanut or boiled egg? Was it a lot? Or ... none? I recently had the displeasure of listening to an antivaxer ranting on how unfair it was that his 6 children couldn't bring their favourite food to school because of allergies in other children
all I could think was so you wont vaccinate your children and you feel that your kids should be allowed to bring peanuts to school .......... cool how many self entitled other ass biscuit boxes do you want to tick
now personally I have no problem with my children not taking known allergens to school especially in the younger grades where kids don't really understand that their soggy sandwich could kill little Johnny however in high school nah everyone should have enough brains now to not eat shit that's not theirs if they have an allergy a bit of personal responsibility and accountability should of kicked in by then
There are times when blanket rules are helpful and there are times they are a hindrance I do think though when I pick up a PEANUT slab bar and it warns me it may have traces of peanuts I hope it has more then just traces also f you have a peanut allergy and you buy then eat something called a peanut slab bar then you deserve what's coming
But lets face it there is big money in holding hands for people and making laws and legislation then administering that legislation and all those people that roll out the new rules and guidelines need things to keep changing to ensure they have work in the future
I'm more concerned about the ideology they try to slide into school kids like telling boys its ok to wear a dress if they feel like it
the way the west is going the next big war it will be the women sent off to war as they will have bigger balls then the men who will be to busy getting in touch with their inner self and preaching all we need is love while prancing around in frocks

Is it really a nanny state? A mate of mine built a concrete bunker under his house, had it secured with cctv and monitored alarm, registered a business, started trading in firearms accessories, then applied for a dealers licence.
His first AR10 arrived today. Several more AR15's and Ar10's will arrive soon to keep that first one and half a dozen pump action shotguns company. As a home based dealer he doesn't need a pta. He just applied to have full auto firearms added to his licence. He expects a couple of select fire m4's to take up residence in his safe in due course. He can function test and demonstrate any of those firearms at an approved range or on private property in NSW.
Not really a nanny state is it?

I think home based dealers will be on the hit list eventually. the market for such firearms (cat D)is pretty slim unfortunately so good luck to him hope he does well, really well. Remember we are dealing with people who just react to scary things like rapid fire leveraction shotguns by restriting them or trying to ban them. Their small brains are yet to comprehend the reality of all the cool loopholes for those willing to jump through them.
but in reference to the zombie knives, yeah thats nanny state alright.
