Is this for a static position or are we mobile?
Or does it apply to both?
There are two items I would add in both cases, and that is a fire steel and a good knife.
Any other gear is dependant on the answer to my opening question.

Assume it is for your primary plan when SHTF (bug in v. bug out) or if you want to keep that on the down low go with being mobile.

OK - I'll play.
(shoulda also included what will you miss most - for me that would be flushing toilets and running water - too many training sessions of doing it hard and short rations and supplies and past the camping bit now - I like the modern conveniences).
My Knife,Fire Steel/Flint,tyre wire,plenty of scrim, mossie net, water bottles, dixie/kidney cup and my bow and a well broken in pair of GP's,a map and compass.
For luxury items my USB's and portable solar charger.I'll pick up/find plenty of abandoned Lappies.
For staying put - pretty much all the goodies you've all mentioned plus a 'no pre-SHTF police raid'.

The rifle should be a mag-fed one. this is to ensure that secondary and tertiary shots are quick. |

actually it depends on where you live and the licensing. I would think that if you have a shotgun and you need to be in a situation which you need to use your rifle for quick secondary shots, it would be close enough for a shot gun. Who doesn't love a shot gun at close range?  |
