Um. Like Alcohol ... Salt, Soy Sauce and vinegar are not exactly 'foods'. And; good pasta lives forever, as does sugar and whole wheat (provided the wheat is well dried). Does powdered milk really have a super long shelf life? Powdered milk will go rancid (from experience), it has a relatively short shelf life. Low fat versions last longer, or freezing it makes it last longer too but its a bit of a tradeoff giving freezer space to stuff like that as there are more important things that can use that space....and we have access to both cows and goats that can be milked if it comes down to it. Other people may not so it might be more important for them.

Camels are so damn tasty. Totally agree, better than beef! And catching bulls is great fun, I miss doing it.

I wonder if they are paid to do it, like that woman who was spitting on fruit in Aus. What women that was paid? Link? Chinese woman spitting on fruit in the supermarkets, there were videos of her doing it and being arrested. Police uniforms were definitely Australian and I'm pretty sure it was a Coles store. Think about it, the "shoppers" that have been buying up baby formula for years are paid, the "shoppers" that have been buying up dunny rolls, hand sanitiser, ppe and medical supplies are all paid to do so. Why wouldn't this woman (and how many others) have been paid to spread the virus? China had no intentions of containing it within its own country, and have government agents all over the world who are there to do whatever is asked of them.

If there are other bodily fluids in or near your rice there are more questions that need to be asked 🤣 If your worried about that, then I don't suggest you ever stay in a mining camp and use a black light lol Lol I used to live in stock camps 🤣 but no one there ever got that excited over rice 🤔

WTF. Why? They want to catch it? They want to spread it? They think it’s all bullshit and want to show they ain’t scared? There's plenty of videos getting around of people in China spitting on elevator buttons and wiping it all over and other things to spread the virus. Just goes to show how little care some people have for anyone else but themselves. I wonder if they are paid to do it, like that woman who was spitting on fruit in Aus.

Our little primary school (35 odd students) has told us to prepare to be homeschooling for the whole of next term as well, and we are only in week 9 of first term. They are putting everything in place now so that it will run ok when school starts in term 2. Not sure if this is being directed by the Education department and they know that things will not go back to normal for a long time, or is just our school being super prepared.

Gunshops in wa were forced to close at 12 today. Yup 😡😡 waiting to find out what the restrictions are on us buying ammo, and what hoops we have to jump thru to get it, and where we can get it from!

If you can get a property letter there's no need to even be part of a club 😁 you do for category H unless your a primary producer and pretty much only QLD that allows that We are primary producers 😉 You just need a reason to have the category H ones. I swear the emu war is still being fought here 🤣🤣

^^ maintaining some sense of normalcy while "social distancing", and not going crazy with cabin fever would be about right?

Rather than start a new topic I'll just use this one.
Who here is bugged out rather than in? It's a hot topic on the fb pages with people wanting to be told when to go 🙄 and most not having an actual destination or BOL to go to.
We are bugged in, which is a no-brainer for us. We live 35km from the nearest town as it is, and can survive almost indefinitely on our stores and what we can produce. We might go without luxories but they aren't necessary anyway.

The guvment really just seems to be fiddling while Rome burns, and are more concerned with keeping the economy going than interrupting it!
Yes keeping kids home from school would mean some parents can't work, but even if those kids have a parent who is required on the frontline of this they quite often have another parent who isn't and who can look after them.

A lot of new preppers are mostly on Fb I'm finding. There are hundreds of posts on different groups each day that are slight variations of the same themes: *I'm new to prepping, what should I store *How/where do people store their food supplies *This coronavirus has woken me up, how do I prep *What does SHTF mean *I have no idea what stockpiling actually is or how its done, but I'm going to label real preppers selfish and greedy 🙄
Oh and my favourite... "Show me what you've got"

The action is crunchy as @#$%, but they are a handy little pop-gun and are easy to cart around feralemma I've handled and fired a couple and the action does run slick after a good bit of cycling, they are pretty good. Mine has done a bit of work, but I guess I will just have to keep using it 😁 so sad
