Has anyone used the “portable cooking bags” that come with 10 sachets (ie each bag has 10 uses) that are activated with water?
I just tried heating some microwave rice with one to test it out but it didn’t seem to do much at all.
Wondering if I did something wrong or if these things just don’t work well.
I’m after a way to easily warm up food while travelling (could pull over) - but something that can be kept in the car and used when we find we’re out for a lot longer than intended (ie not a plan ahead meal requiring bringing fresh food or boiling water from home). Also was hoping these would be good for heating canned food in a short term emergency when we need to stay indoors without power.

But seriously, I tried some of those US heat in the bag MRE's and they didn't heat up properly either. Hmm ... I had high hopes for those bags. Back to the drawing board.
