So ... what's the group thinking about Turnbull v Dutton v Bishop v Morrison.
Anyone else as sick of this BS as I am?

Anyone to stop shorten winning, but Dutton is the strongest of the bunch

Damn straight I'm sick of it. I think they're all as bad as each other - but still not quite as bad as labor and nowhere near as bad as the reds greens.

No matter who is in charge, their focus will only be on policy to help win the next election, not on what is required for the long term benefit of the country. Im sick of the lot of them

According to voter polls Bishop is by far the most 'electable'. Perhaps she'll get the party leadership tomorrow and then two weeks after the libs win the next election they'll axe her and slot in Dutto? That's how it's done these days isn't it?
I don't know why we even bother with public elections any more. Just leave it upto the party factions in future. I just refer to both major parties as the Laberals these days anyway.
All this crap is causing damage to our international standing and foreign investment confidence.

I don't think Bishop can win given she's of the same faction as Turnbull. If they have the numbers to call a partyroom, they wont be voting in Bishop.
Scomo is the obvious candidate being center faction but I don't think that will satisfy those pushing for change.
I think Dutton will get the leadership and then loose the election. You can dislike Turnbull but you cant dispute the fact his votes will bleed left and they don't have the buffer to bleed like that.
This all points to a horribly divided liberal party that wont be electable at the next election, possibly even the following... My feeling is we face at least one shorten term, possibly 2.
Be afraid...

Bishop won't get in because they know she is on the nose with everybody other then the greens voters around the country with her push for billions in foreign aid when the struggling aussies and farmers get sweet F-all

They need to quit arguing over who's in charge of the sandpit and get on with the f*cking job we pay them to do 😠I say bring on the next election and hopefully there will be something we can vote for other than these clowns and the ALP.

And in other news: while our foreign minister is throwing hundreds of millions of dollars at enemy countries in "foreign aid" and our government so generously hands drought stricken farmers $12k to live on for the year (after they've jumped through more hoops than a circus pony), the queen is donating some of her own money to our farmers.

It's basically a choice between which type of terminal cancer you'd prefer to have: Liver or Lung? Pancreas or Prostate? Breast or Brain? Liberal or Labour?

Right conservatives are looking for a strong conservative leader so if election was to happen Dutton would be the leader the right conservatives want. Dont discount the voters of indepedents like ALA one Nation etc Australia is looking for their own version of a populist leader, and Dutton would be the next best thing to that. I dont know enough of politics and this is what i feel but we shall see.

Well, its Morrison for the job now. Not the best choice but defiantly not the worst choice from the options. More then likely labor will get the next election even though they have terrible policies planned for their next run at the top job. All the more reason to get serious about prepping, as with labor at the helm, a financial shutdown could be on the horizon

If trends from around the world continue there seems to be more and more leaning to the right and independent or populous leaders. Labour will need to dig deep into their majic bag of tricks.

On the up-side: at least our leadership Coups don't involve tanks, soldiers and curfews. Much easier for the rest of us that they depose each other behind closed doors.
You'd have to expect this isn't over yet. The right wanted command and they still haven't got it ... and seemingly by the same margin as with Turnbull.
Listen carefully! .... Hear that? The faint sound of steel on stone? That's the sound of Dutto and Tony re-sharpening their knives.

Surprising the Dutton camp with the vote on Tuesday followed by delaying the second meeting past Thursdays sitting... resulting in him stepping aside for his own treasurer or deputy. I don't think they'll have another stab at it until after Morrison looses the election... Tony might be ready to raise his hand again by that stage! Regardless, I'll have my popcorn ready.

Talk of popcorn ... reminds me of when Keating used to entertain the nation with his parliamentary antics. Irrespective of politics he could put on a good show.
I've always wanted to see Peter Cosgrove take up a political career. Strikes me as a man who would work in the national interest and be relatively immune to bullsheet.
