I value my family and friends fairly highly...... Hahahaha I guess it comes down to what is valuable or what is going to be valuable in a shtf scenario. I think prepping should entail the burying of caches, and i would only have valuable items in a cache.

it's so hard to know what will or wont be valuable, I mean there are items that no matter the situation you would or should need/have, but stashing instant cold packs (Ammonium Nitrate & water) aren't much good in an arctic blizzard.
I'm all for Caches but I wouldn't want one to go to waste come a SHTF scenario either, need to make sure you can collect them all or that someone you like enough can collect them.

They talk about cache's being within a few KM's of your location/bug out location. That makes sense to me, I can leave it there till I need it. I'm still working on my main supplies, let alone cache's lol.
