Today is the 78 th anniversary of D-Day... I've read some history of Juno beach and other landings..
I have a BSA #4 Enfield that was brought home by an old guy here in town.. He went to England with a rifle, so he was entitled to bring a rifle back.. I presume they were just issuing the next rifle in the rack as he would have left with a Long Branch made rifle.. Still quite the prized possession to me...
Here is a small video of how our PM honored D-Day here...
Hope other places did better..

The dude in that video has a big beard and a baseball cap. That makes him a truck blockade supporting tewworist under Canadian law. He also has the itinerary of the Supreme Leader of the People's Republic of Canada, and a social credit score of zero, making him a tewworist with a very short life expectancy.
He'll go missing and be harvested for his organs in (spit) Ottawa (spit).

Looking around a little I find it seems Biden didn't have anything to say about D-Day also....
So sad..

Looking around a little I find it seems Biden didn't have anything to say about D-Day also.... So sad.. Our culture and values shouldn't come from the media. It should be handed down from parent to child. If the media or politifilth decide to ignore D-Day celebrations it shouldn't matter, because our parents taught us to celebrate and honour our ancestor's sacrifice. D-Day isn't big in Aus, that's a northern hemisphere thing, but Anzac Day certainly is.

Every Aussie should read Peter Fitzsimmons Kokoda. That campaign is 100% Aussie grit and determination under extreme odds including fighting under poor leadership at the top level (MacArthur). It is a truly amazing and largely unappreciated part of our history and bears major resemblance to current issues in the region today.

V.E. day was commemorated in a number of cities across Europe last month and to the residents of occupied countries that definitely has more significance than D Day. Perhaps the allied nations that participated in D Day consider V.E. Day more significant too.

I stopped at mid day and gave thanks to all those who paid the ultimate price.
