Many places in the world that used to have a strong tradition of property rights are now showing signs of kleptocracy . There have always been many kleptocratic states, China being a good example. In China having power is not only the key to obtaining wealth, but it is also the only way to protecting your wealth from the depredations of others. A good rule of thumb for a fair and just society is: can average joes, the weak or currently unpopular safely own property without it being seized by others? (often with aid of a corrupt authorities or regulators) What made me bring this up is that I was reading that 600 farms in the Netherlands are being seized in the name of environmental protection. One of the WEF/UN SDGs (sustainable development goals) is that you can't have farming, livestock, mining or industry near places of environmental value. So the regulators identify such areas as needing environmental protection, and then the state moves in and seizes properties. But is environmental protection the real goal or just a pretext? Exhibit A: The Tristate City mega project. They want to make a "EU capital" megacity out of large parts of the Netherlands and parts of Belgium and Germany. So much for protecting the environment. The are literally seizing land from farmers in the name of environmental protection, to pass onto corporate property developers to make billions of dollars (without having to pay farmers market price for the land). Next time you hear of some property being seized for a "good cause", it pays to dig deeper.

Coming to Australia soon with the WWF Agenda 30-30, proudly supported by senior labor politifilth like Tanya Plibersek. Basically the wildlife terrorists want 30% of all land and sea protected. Which I expect means no development, hunting, farming or fishing on 1/3 of our land mass and sea.
All part of the elite's plan to corral the people into smart mega cities, control every aspect of their lives, and feed them bugs or lab grown food.
That is the real shtf we are facing.

In Australia, no. The average Joe has no chance. If a wealthy developer makes the right political donations, their project will get funded and built. Locals will be forced from their homes with no ability to challenge it at all. Have a look at what happened to the landowners who had to deal with Inland Rail, Westconnex and North East Link. North East Link is the worst of them, with people having their houses bulldozed for space that wasn't even needed for the project.
Australia is worse off than even the PRC in this respect. There are no 'nail houses' in Australia.
