When I put in our last tank I added a 2" camlock fitting, I plan to get a fire fighter pump and enough canvas hose to reach everywhere as well.
We did a big fuel-reduction burn 2-3 months ago, according to our firies we don't get canopy fires up here and we've cleared the grass for about 5 acres around the house so we should be in pretty good shape.
We don't have a plan yet really, except to get in various vehicles and drive down to a nearby open field.

I'm sure by now you guys are familiar with my shipping container house, so I won't post any more pics. Suffice to say that although we haven't moved in yet it's working out well even on hot (38C) days. In fact the breezeway between them is always pretty cool.
I also 2nd the neighbour thing, I know and get on well with 3 of them so far, all 25-acre blocks so that's 100 acres we "control" but more in fact because of the way things are located. We really own an entire ridge line of high ground which is nice. We all seem to be on similar pages and I can see the beginning of a MAG here. These blocks were only sub-divided about 15 years ago so there are no old families here, we're all relative new comers.
As for plinking, I'm pretty sure subsonic 22s would not be heard, something to find out I guess.

We had new neighbours recently and we made it very clear we don't want a fence and can't afford one anyway.
Luckily they don't want one either, but what level can they go to to prove you do have money, or at least enough to pay for a fence. I guess a court can get your bank records

I was watching the TV last night, (7:30 report I think but don't quote me) and "they" were saying what a great job had been done because they identified 80 potential jihadists and canceled their passports so they couldn't go to Syria and fight.
So now we have 80 young Muslim males even more pissed off and fermenting hatered right here in Oz. How the hell is that a win? Let the bastards go and then cancel their passports. 80 blokes won't make much difference in Syria but that many is a real problem here in Oz. Let them go and live in some shit hole, with a bit of luck they won't last long anyway.
But we sure as heck don't want them here.
Next up was a talking head banging on about how to assimilate them back into our society, more yabbering about counciling, finding out what thier grievances are so they can be addressed, yada yada. Where's my effing violin?
NO, we don't give a shit what their grievances are because they follow Islam and Islam is diametrically opposed to everything we stand for here in Oz.

Scientists reveal that beer in moderation prevents heart attack and stroke. European scientists have highlighted the beneficial health of moderate consumption of beer, including the prevention of cardiovascular problems and respiratory effects, and have excluded the myth of the 'beer belly'. ... 'In Beer we find 50 types of polyphenols, which when ingested by the body, have beneficial effects on blood pressure, lipids or insulin resistance,"explained Rosa Lamuela of the University of Barcelona. ... Given that prolonged exercise increases the risk of diseases of the upper respiratory tract, ... Man, I'm gonna live forever.

I too see no value in PMs, but most people seem to think they are worth something, and as a thing's worth is what people say it is then PMs will I think be valuable after things settle down. But while the S is flying they will be of no use at all.

I just realised he is in Brisbane. I will follow this up, thanks for the link. I want to grow inside a container, hense the lights thing, but I just had a thought, you could use an open-top container and put a transparent roof on it, that way the garden would get light and still not be obvious from the outside.
