I have kept it canned for 12 months but then it is gone. Like eating it the next day, I think it tastes better after it is canned

I have been using the Bunnings ones as well for a few years now. They work great as a light in hallways at night ( motion detect) and as a torch , work light and come on in power failure and they are cheap. Aldi have had very similar but I have had them only about 6 months but ok so far

I've brought in seeds from USA and as long as they are not on the naughty list and there is no foreign matter in the package they come through ok. It took a lot of googling to get the list though.

Democracy with mandatory voting is doomed to failure because stupid people have the same say as intelligent people. Think of the "average person" and how smart they are. Half the people are dumber than that. All of them get a say. I'd vote for a party that made voting optional and had liberal firearm policies because they obviously aren't planning on going around pissing people off I partially agree. But it is not really the fault of compulsory voting. Idiots always want to have their say, so it forces the people who know how little it matters to vote as well. So we maintain the average of stupidity. If we leave it to the individual to choose to vote then only people with a strong opinions vote (not necessarily informed) and more relaxed middle of the road people may not stick their head up until it is to late, as may occur in USA. mind you compulsory voting in a democracy is a bit like fighting for peace. watching the adds on Tele and we only have a choice of some bloke called 'surname' anyway 😜

Try pulling out over a few times without fuel and switched off before really trying to start it. May be fuel in the wrong time and place or some other backfire type issue. Like trying to start a fuel flooded motor

Nice fractus, is that full meat spag or just Napolitano? Ratio 75% Rump and 25% pork. 2ltrs long life tomato juice and 12 cans of Aussie crushed tomatoes plus herbs etc. this is the first time I used long life tomato juice ( bought on special and a good prep if you like it) and was more than pleased with the result. We always eat a meal of it to test for flavour. If it is average I would freeze it and not waste the effort of canning. pressure canning rules the prepper world

My favourite food is one of the obvious ones spag Bol. I make it in bulk and pressure can it. It is as good or better than fresh and all my family love the idea of having it readily available. Costs $2.50 ish a serve including mason lids and pasta. The spag is middle left 40 serves. Spiced lentil soup top right(recipe stolen from thermo mix). Lentil soup is high on my list of favourites. a slight digression ..... Ig you make home made pasta you get to add egg and flour to make a complete meal without too much smell arousing attention. (Not much fibre of course)

I went camping with a bloke who had two germ and shepards. He used his poncho as a growing sheet in his tent for the dogs. They did not damage it with all their frolicking. I bought one as soon as I could afford it. Ultra sil and are over $100 but tough and not disposable at all. Come in the silicon type and normal vinyl. Silicon one is top model

I think camping and outdoor isn stuff may be part of family history. Dad used to take us camping as he came from the bush. All of his children regularly undertake a family camping trip. Yet I know families that would never have thought to go bush without a motel

I tried growing semi vertical. Problem is heat becomes a factor due to the height out of the cool earth. I think a system of shade for the overly sunny days. Also with movable shade you could grow spuds better in high summer
