Seriously doubt it. We are moving house and it's an awful time for this kind of thing. Look at it more positively bug. collect all the key documents and possessions you think most important and keep them together. Then store them in a safe location at your new place. It’s not everyday you get the chance to consolidate your stuff after a move. I’m currently doing the same. We’ve had to move for my mrs big promotion and all my key crap is in a box and a half. The bonus is we still get to keep our farm which will be 1.5hrs away but earn a fantastic combined income. The other bonus is we”ll be living on a bigger but less productive farm with a ton of bush around to do all sorts of fun stuff 10mins from the beach.

I think about 95% of out population is within 100km of the coast. The days of the aussie bushmen are fast becoming history. Even the venerable traditional owners are moving to population centres to take advantage of the mod cons. Our biological adaptability and evolution is in retrograde. That’s cool, netflix and facebook will keep us going and ol bill gates will provide all the food and medicine we need to live a very comfortable life.

Even those already bugged out might need the ability to relocate. The castle mentality was only good until canons and muskets came about. These days to go static against a much superior force is basically committing suicide. Give yourself the option to relocate and survive, and perhaps leave a sniper or two to become a major pain in the butt of your enemy. Spot on. no one plan is 100% failsafe or without issues. Hence the need for a decent and reliable network of people to provide support, a place to stay or just plain old advice.

To be honest, we've all been paying to use cards for how long now? Decades? Being told we have to pay to use cash isn't a surprise at all. What WILL be surprising is if they do bring it in and there's not instant backlash that they're not removing a cost to use cards. Can't claim it costs more to process digital currency if it's the default setting. I mean, they'll TRY to argue that but I can't see them getting far. Credit cards yes but I’ve never had to pay eftpos charges until very recently. Business used to pick up that cost due to supposed efficiencies gained over not having to deal with cash and not having to deal with lines of credit. Now that cost is being passed on. Double dipping BS.

Here we go. now the heads reckon we need to pay to have access and use cash. The molestation of our incomes is getting beyond stupid. Hardly anyone is awake let alone cares. The apathy in this country is just plain sad. Pay to use cash (ABC news)

We tried something similar during 19-20 fires but we had most things pretty much ready to go. we kept certain things like documents and photos together since then. I’d struggle. At the end of the day i’d get out but would no doubt leave something important behind.

Labor are going to get annihillated at the next Qld election. As they deserve to be. You’d hope so but look at what happened in Victoria. The QLD newman government was just as bad and many Qld’ers still remember that lil twerp. I’d say QLD will go hard on independents and smaller parties like KAP. I actually like a lot of what Robbie Katter says. He is a pretty down to earth bloke which is what this country needs right now.

At 2.4 billion km diameter and if it were a planet, a jet flying 800kph would need to fly non stop for 1076 years to travel around it.

the thing i don’t like about 5G is it promotes high data flow at the expense of reception range. the original device was supposed for communication via a phone call and not for fast downloads of porn and tik tok videos. In the bush 3G is great. they are removing 3G and replacing with 5G so unless there are towers everywhere the services will be diminished.

THere appears to be confusion about family size of people from the dawn of time till the mid 60’s when birth control pills became widely available and where we are at now comparing the two timelines is not possible. There were laws preventing birth control in many countries right up to the modern era. There are still many who don’t believe in birth control. Granddad was likely a symptom of the times than a firm family planning decision. But i definitely agree there is a rising element of people who won’t have kids for a range of societal justifications. It seems the government response is increase immigration from many countries that may not share, acknowledge or value our way of life. I mean jeebus there is now a “morning after” pill to clear you of syphilis!! that speaks volumes. Get out and use ya tallywhackers for the good of the country! your aged care depends on it.

It shows the ability, or lack thereof, of the UN to distribute supplies in a way that prevents this reaction. All governments would be the same.

Great news, i haven’t measured the rain yet but tanks that were low-ish are now full. We’ll get so e feed of the paddocks now too. Mate we were literally starting to drive 45 minutes to the daughters place (town water) to do the clothes washing which the wife is obsessed with! Mate i know what you mean. 2 teenagers produce a metric sh!tton of washing in my house.

I find it amazing that the very polyfilths that are destroying the economy, have billions of dollars in the bank that will become useless when it collapses as well. Maybe they have an alternate money system already in operation ? Cant be Bitcoin as it will collapse as well. Its raining !! 2 mm so far, bush fire risk has receded for a few days. They fight for unity by propagating division. 60mm of rain in 24 hours all empty tanks now full to overflowing! Great news, i haven’t measured the rain yet but tanks that were low-ish are now full. We’ll get so e feed of the paddocks now too.

All that aid will go to hamas and will keep them operational for longer. the delay will mean many extra deaths for the IDF as the grubs dig in and prepare their defences. These are golden hours for hamas.
