Camelbak use a push button release for their connections. The Camelbak ones I've been issued and bought myself haven't had that problem and the issued ones have genuinely been treated worse than I'd like to admit.
I've used them in a pouch on the back of a chest rig, just under the lid of a field pack or in the back of a daypack. Camelbak bladders on a chest rig, squished between my back and a 25kg field pack, haven't had an issue. Though it's not very comfortable and given the chance I'll slip the bladder out and put it in the top of the pack for any real distance.

I've been inside a shedfire with rounds cooking off inside a safe and a thin metal toolbox. No rounds exited either. I mainly ignored it as there was much higher priorities.
Not saying it's evidence based. Just saying that's the arbitrary line which they drew.

Back in the day I worked at Target. I think we returned every one we sold back then, mainly the bags splitting when they get filled up, put in a backpack and squeezed between gear and someones back and ruining all sorts of gear.
Couple years ago I bought one, I think it was Kmart, literally just for testing. The bag was stronger but the hose connection to bag was just friction attached and came off very easily.

Bad seals are common and the hoses fall out and dump 2L of water into your gear.

The limit is 40,000. That probably isn't all the eggs for a lot of us.
Mine is split between my house and my folks place but it's really not much use there

Worksafe already has max ammo at one location.
Assume this can be exceeded but not sure if exceeding it requires DG licensing or a worksafe inspection with extinguishers, special storage lockers etc.

This is only the guidelines for the states to work from, it's not legislation. The states will go back to their secret dungeons and add or subtract from their own versions of the NFA. 2. This Agreement sets out minimum requirements in relation to the regulation of firearms. Nothing in this Agreement prevents jurisdictions from adopting additionalincluding more restrictiveregulations.

I understand why terrorists blow things up, they are used to living in societies that don't listen to them...

I rang, they wouldn't put me through to her. Flat out refused to talk about any firearm related topic "until after the meeting has been held" ie, after it's too late.

Does writing to anyone make a difference? I tried contacting the Vic police minister throughout the Adler debacle and couldn't even get a automated reply email

When I go on holidays, particularly if I'm flying, I try not to think about prepping. There's only so much you can take with you and I've got to unwind at some stage.
I'll always have a knife, leatherman, bic, torch, hanky, water and cash. But beyond that, if something happens I'll have to improvise a bit.
It's annoying though because I can have a tiny backpack and have to check it in because of the blades.

So my compass will say north is south and south is north, probably be off by a fair wack as well... but my GPS will at least show my location correctly. Once I figure out my local magnetic to grid adjustment it shouldn't be an issue personally.
I'm assuming it will throw off things like compasses in planes, etc and cause more of an issue.
At an individual preps level, there's basically nothing I can do in regards to this. So I don't think about this possibility often.

Lately been looking at getting some land, doing an interest only loan until my car is paid off in 3 years then just normal mortgage but putting all my over time into paying it off.
But I dont think banks will touch me if I'm not putting a house on it, correct?

Why would you on a site like this not be using a home ground full grain flour that would be more nutritious than a shop purchased white flour? Great first impression, champ. You don't ever buy something to save time? If you farm, process, prepare and cook every mouthful of food that touches your lips then more power to you. I'd love to hear about your property.

Been forever since I did damper in the oven, instead of cleaning the dirty flat pans I used the small square high walled pan... it meant that I didn't flatten it out very much, so it was too thick, so it took ages to cook...
Handy reminder to always test your recipes and plans, etc
