how long did u soak it in soup for? Clear or cream based? I saw this youtube video and it took them a loooooooooooooong time to soak it through. More of a thick stew! Yeah it takes a long time, maybe soak it in milk prior! We are gonna try making thinner hard tack. The missus has excess flour from Chinese New year passed so she's kindly agreed to work with me on it 0.5cm thick hard tack, here I comeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee

oh. Robert Jordan is long winded! Even more so than Tolkien. If you like LOTR, you should love Narnia ... the hidden symbolisms are interesting too.
I like sci-fi writers who do some fantasy too, like stackpole. Oh stackpole is so good...
In SG we have hard tack too. But they're just thicker crackers which are hard! lol. ours are 5 per pack, each pack is half a cm thick. 1 packet of 5 is enough to sustain you with a tin of curry pork cubes. I will prolly try this recipe, but make them _thinner_ like around 1/2 a cm instead, so that it soaks up the water faster ....

lol. sorry not really into LOTR, except maybe the movies. His books then to be too long winded. Always preferred Eddings over Tolkien (don't hurt me!)
but seriously, Hard Tack has all the workings of Elven bread, except maybe minus the nutrition.

Maybe a trike concept would be better then. Might even be able to fit a Solar Panel on top of it and it would serve as a form of shelter of sorts too.

yeah.. i've read up quite a fair bit about EMPs. Supposedly cars are huge faraday cages, so its actually EMP safe.
The scenario in One Second After is only half possible, the cars _would_ survive an EMP, even those with computers on board.
But this 6x6 is bad ass man.
Anyway OL, after you buy one, you can add your own grills... lol
I'm not too worried about a ZombiePoc, I really don't think its possible.

yup. They are slowly losing their competitive advantage. The salaries in cities like Shanghai are reaching equivalence as cities like New York and London (dollar for dollar and not usd/euro conversion comparison). Property in those places are also going up like crazy and unsustainably so.
China is beginning to realize that it needs to increase internal consumption to reach the levels of growth its used to. They have to be careful, because for asians, savings is normal. Once they reach the level of like the US, they will be in trouble. One US is bad enough, but 2?

India's getting a new state. And they're developing pretty a pretty good arms industry which is scary.
Indo did try to thwart the Malaysian independence and we got dragged in. Thats the confrontation.
China has enough money to buy up countries, they don't have to take over, they can buy over.

i saw an episode of Doomsday Preppers where this guy used shredded newspaper + dried leaves to make their briquettes... supposedly 1 runs for 30mins which is awesome.
I think a mix of compressed sawdust, newspaper and dried leaves will do well ... but I don't have a press, so its a little hard to do.

yeah. Philipines and Indo from both directions.
but the economic collapse of a bubble economy is very very real. we're quite similar to ice land which is worrying.
