i tried indian Sooji, Corn and Rice Poha ..
REally effective when paired with a tin of minestrone or M&S stew.
But this FAMEAL looks awfully interesting.
Thanks for the share.

i agree with dirtdiva that for home user this is inefficient. I guess as a piece of knowledge for SHTF, it is useful, especially if you can lock yourself on some roof top with lots solar panels, pumps etc. This might be an option. limited RSS, this is not too good. doesn't hurt to know, tho

My current fire kit is as follows: 1. Whistle-Firestarter 2. Cotton Balls (about 10-15 balls) 3. Chapstick 4. Matches (about 1/2 box) + striker 5. Peanut Lighter 6. Lighter fluid (10ml) 7. Fresnel Lens in my PSK I have slightly different set up 1. Arc Lighter 2. Whistle Fire-Starter 3. Chapstick 4. cotton balls (about 3) 5. 2000mah powerbank 6. peanut lighter 7. 2ml bottle of lighter fluid I am gonna try the permanent match in a camping environment one day Thought I add some pics of what I mean. Whistle Firestarter. The whistle is loud too! Peanut lighter. In my Fire kit with some lighter fluid. Small and compact. Permanent match. Something I am exploring in a bigger kit to accompany the ferro-rod.

Sorry for the late reply. Its our National Day today (9 Aug) and was busy over the weekend.
1. Lighter Fluid technically doesn't expire. but kept improperly, its fumes will escape and overtime it _will_ empty.
2. The electric lighter spatial mentioned, is the ARC lighter I was talking about.
3. Does anyone wanna see the peanut lighter I mentioned? can post a few pics.
4. not sure about naptha, but i think kingsford bbq fluid might work too. been using zippo lighter fluid and i stock about 10 bottles of that at any one time.

Thats cool, i always wanted to do some vanlife stuff like in an old hippy combi van or maybe those big ass merc sprinter vans. Good on ya man. Thanks Mate It was something to try, and the Suzuki Every/Nissan NV100 is an affordable little bugger. Comfy too for short trips prolly not full van life.

its like in Singapore where most vehicles have a lifespan of 10 years or less. Quite a number of cars are exported after 5 years of use.

Wasn't sure where this would fit so I put it here. given Covid and all, and we can't travel, I rented a van (vehicle ownership in Singapore is frightfully expensive) to celebrate an happy occasion. Here are some photos of the trial which I am happy to say was successful. Wife is keen to keep van camping as a holiday alternative and I'd continue to hone the system until she gives the greenlight to buy a van or van-like passenger car. We van camped at East Coast Park car park.

lol. I am actually decent in the kitchen. I reckon anywhere in the world we go, we'd do ok. I am just looking for a cheaper alternative to epicfoods coz I tried it and liked it. It never hurts to expand the sources.
I made pemmican recently using Chinese pork floss, dehydrated blueberries, and tallow. Yet to try them though. Likely will repack them (made them too thick) and use them in quick soups or pan fry them with bread on a skillet.

I have tried the bacon and egg yolk bars from epicprovisions.com/suprisingly good. They were the only ones from amazon which I could get without overpaying by too much. everything else is 3x more than the website. Any similar alternatives I can order and ship from Oz to Singapore?

think the video demonstrates why you need to wear masks.
with 1 layer - less than 10% chance of getting it if exposed (think its 3 or 5%)
with 0 layer (aka no mask) - 90% if in an enclosed area (like bus)
I have been exposed a few times in Singapore and still negative (touch wood!). We wear a dual layer home made mask with a tissue paper filter with essential oil (EO). Some times, when I'm out when I'm at a hospital for my medical appointment or my mom's, I will wear a surgical mask + home made cloth mask with EO. We also sanitize our hands aggressively with hand sanitizer with min 70% alcohol content.
the mask wearing narrative is _not_ about government telling you what to do, limit your freedom and what-not. Its more about you not spreading if you are infected, and you not catching from virus in the air. If you wear a mask chance to catch it is 3-5%. If you sanitize your hand aggressively, it dropped to almost zero.
And to ask frontliners with full PPO not to vaccinate to prove a point, is downright selfish. These people have personal lives which are spent outside the hospital, where they have a chance of catching it. Also. I frankly don't think a front-liner would want to wear full PPO when out shopping for grocery. And since they are front-liners, means they help those who are infected, they should be the _first_ to be vaccinated.
But no matter what I say, make sense or not, if you don't wanna wear a mask for your own sake or others, for whatever UFO-Agenda21-illuminati conspiracy theory. Do what you feel is responsible. Your life is your own, and if you feel in your own moral code you are being responsible. So be it.
I will wear the mask when I am out of the house, not because I am sheeple but because in the event I am infected, I do not want to infect others. Thats my moral code.
I don't intend to debate about this, so I will leave this here as it is. I rather let de-bait be the thing I catch the fish with. /end rant.

I quite like this system.. it reflects 3 in 2 and 2 is 1 mentality.
I use this to build my camping setup now and my EDC now.
