malewithatail: Have you got your comms organized for WYSHTF ? Hams, prepper frequencies are 7.128 mhz, and 14.235 mhz. Note them down and be ready, to others, get your ham license, or at least a decent short wave radio that can receive SSB ham transmissions.Time is short

malewithatail: The thing we feared the most in combat was the lack of comms, not knowing what was happening. The battlefield weapon the Germans feared the most was the BC336 walki talki, even with a only a 2 mile range, fury could be called down on them by anyone anytime

malewithatail: Knowledge, now is the time to learn, get hold of some old (1950's and 60's) ARRL handbooks and learn how radio works, be able to build your own simple receivers from junked bits. Check the communications board for more info.

malewithatail: Ham radio can be as simple as communicating with your friend in the next town, or 1/2 way across the world. You can use the amateur satellites, bounce signals off the moon or Venus and communicate that way. The sky's literally the limit.
