Hi guys, A lady named Pat Collins (http://www.patcollins.com.au/) is running a course on natural remedies (weeds, herbs etc) in Brisbane soon: When: 26th and 27th September 2014 Where: 59 Haggartys Avenue, Karrabin Courses: - TO BE DECIDED* (Friday 26th) - Weeds and their uses (Saturday 27th) Cost: $60 per course (please note that we take approximately $60 worth or product home!!) Bookings: Essential. There is a minimum of 12 needed (so please be reliable/available) and maximum of 20 (so please book promptly so you do not get disappointed). Please email co.opstopbrisbane@gmail.com to secure your booking or if you have any questions. Weeds and their usesEver wanted to know what uses the weeds have that grow in your own backyard? You’ll learn to identify these plants, learn their medicinal, cosmetic, culinary uses and how they balance our soil then use them to make into a variety of items. - Wild weed ointment
- Wild weed cream
- Chickweed or Purslane infused oil
- Paddys Lucerne syrup
- Tonic tea
- Chlorophyll capsules

Hehe I was thinking only Brisbanites (& surrounds) would be interested. She's actually based near Newcastle but is coming up specifically for another group I'm in.

Would be great to meet you in person at the course  Hubby and I are only going to the Saturday one, because the Friday one is now the soaps shampoos etc. one Pfft.  |

hey StepfordRenegade, I had a look at the link you put up, I can't figure which cousre is on witch day. Do you have any more info on what is happening on the days set. Also how long do the courses go for. If you could let me know that would be great.

Hi Paul, I'm not sure how long these particular courses are, apparently they are usually around the 10am - 3 or 4pm mark, and it's $60 per person, per course. The Friday 26th September course is 'Soaps, shampoos and washing gel.' Learn how to make your own soaps from a basic recipe. You’ll learn to create a large variety of soaps using various herbs, clays, natural colours, base oils, honey, essential oils and milk. We’ll look at the ingredients in commercial bath products and learn how they affect our health. Create your own shampoo, hair conditioner and lots more. - Six Soaps
- Nettle hair conditioner
- Shampoo
- Washing gel
- Soap balls
- Liquid soap
- Castille soap

Hey StepfordRenegade, I will put myself down for the saturday course this afteroon when I get home, I think the wife will be doing it as well just have to find a baby siter for the kids. thanks for the info.

Hey Step, I recieved a email today from a Sally saying that she will send infor out about the course soon, so hopefully we will have the numbers, looking forward to it.
It funny the wife has never really been interested in my study for weeds, but the other day we went for a walk and I was pointing some things out and she actually took notice for once, I was surprised, I said were you just listening then and she said yes. I think it was because was saying we are going to learn about this and that on the course.
she must be excited.
