i always wondered about the salt from pool shops, i thought it would be great to get a bunch of them due to the price but i could never get a definitive answer as to whether it was ok for human consumption

There is a full list on amprep that is one of the best I have seen
With ammo, if you have spare to trade, that means you have a lot more and know how to use it, for the poor bastard that tries to take it from you, its his death, but chances are you will find localized trading posts, and items like that, would more willingly trade with a outpost than with a stranger on the street, more for security than anything

Trading skills are another level again, any primary skill is tradable, from cooking to electronics, to building, to seamstress, to blacksmith, anything... The trick is having the right tools of the trade

That's actually part of my plan when rebuilding after shtf. I have and will further develop several skills to make my mind and hands far more valuable than any single item for trade like crochet, spinning yarn, through to horticulture.
