I knew a bloke who used to buy 3 newspapers every day. When I asked why he told me to read while he sits in his work truck all day. He worked for the government fixing roads. His job was to transport the crew to and from the jobsite. That's all he did. Most of his day he sat in his truck reading the paper.

These days there are even Hi-Viz wearing 2 year olds ... at some point it stopped being a safety item and became a uniform for a particular socio-economic tribe.

Fraser Anning has launched his new Political Party the Conservative National Party and it is taking off bigtime! His policy on Private Firearm Ownership is bloody awesome it's no holds barred and is easily outstripping One Nation and Shooters Fishers and Farmers Party who have recently pretty much disowned Law Abiding Firearm Owners (Google it) !! I've encouraged my voting age kids and other family members to sign up! Best $20 we ever spent! The media hate him and so do all the other Senate Members in Federal Parliament so you just know by virtue of that alone he will be good for the Australian People! He is an active pistol shooter his FB page has pics of him fanging at the range a few days ago! This bloke has got our family vote! He leaves the SFF and One Nation for dead!

I stopped volunteering for SFFP because they have sold shooters out.
My regular booth used to poll third behind Labour and the LNP. At the recent State Election their tally was well down. Perhaps lots of shooters don't appreciate Borzak saying publicly that he supports the current laws.

In my opinion SFFP comes across as arrogant and recent public betrayal of shooters has driven them off in droves! SFF also very quietly dumped Robert Brown before the last election which is no surprise as there was widespread perception from members he was mostly sucking up the tax funded salary and doing nothing for it! They say he pretty much evolved to become a public embarrassment which is why they wouldn't let him anywhere near a TV Camera at the end of his run.

What's all this SFFP hate? You guys do remember that I'm on the committee of SFFP Qld and we're sick of the anti SFFP because of something someone said years ago in another state. Each state of the SFFP is run independently from each other with their own policies and committees etc. so please don't discount ALL of the SFFP because of something that someone in NSW said a while ago

Yeah, got some good fresh blood with the 3 elected members. You'll find that a lot of the anti SFFP stuff especially on Facebook cones from personal hatred of borsack. He will retire soon enough and hopefully those spreading the hate will calm down.

The NSW SFFP lost me when their leader publicly stated that they have no intention of changing current gun laws. I can't see how they can claim to represent shooters with a policy like that. SFFP firearm policy: www.shootersfishersandfarmers.org.au/nsw_firearmsThere's no clawback in there apart from removing the recirding of ammo sales and adding self defence as a genuine reason. They have caved in on abolishing registration and stopping category bracket creep. Plenty of reason to hate IMO. The Qld SFFP firearm policy, on the other hand, is very good.

Sometimes you've got to play the long game on things like this. As unfortunately until there is sufficient numbers of SFFP and similar parties holding the balance of power in every state and territory with enough Gaul to hold the police minister to ransom when they get together for their annual chin wag event, then there won't ever be any major rollbacks Best we can do is just try and hang on and stop any further major knee jerk laws from happening which you will see GCA start up going hard again very soon after their win in NZ giving the NZ government their NFA 2.0

The NSW SFFP have achieved nothing except hunting access to some National Parks.
They couldn't stop the recording of ammo purchases, sighting registration papers to buy handgun ammunition, the reclassification of gel blaster toys as prohibited weapons, the adler ban, or the start of bans based on appearance ( starting with the DTA). They have been as useful as a penis at a lesbian convention.
Why support them on the odd chance they will change policy once they gain political strength?
I'd rather give my support to a party that have the backbone to demand major concessions for shooters.

And that's your right to choose who you want to vote for (yes they have been a bit slack in NSW) Hopefully after next years election here in Qld we can hold the balance of power with KAP and have a bit more of a backbone

If Sen. Anning ever gets tired of Oz, we'll find a place for him here in Texas!

In SFFP NSW the prevailing attitude from the old guard is "look we'll tell you what is good for you now sit down and shut up!" SFFP biggest mistake ever was their push to open NSW National Parks for hunting, that was one huge strategic blunder that put thousands of non-hunting but not ant-hunting individuals offside. NSW just wasn't ready for it, the time wasn't right! I personally had won over dozens of left, green and neutral types with the feral control benefits of hunting in our State Forests but now they are all lost! Unfortunately SFFP just wouldn't let it go as a really bad idea and we lost massive support from the general public!
