Again the escalation in the strait of hormuz is escalating, Yesterday the US shot down an Iranian drone, today the Iranians have detained 2 oil tankers one registered with the UK. I think the conflict will be on and war will break out. US and allied sanction on Iran are totally crippling the country and the Iranians are not backing down. Late trading last night stocks responded by ending in the red after trading all day in the green. www.zerohedge.com/news/2019-07-19/british-tanker-suddenly-diverts-iranian-waters-feared-seized-irgc

Wonder how many days worth of fuel supply Australia has stockpiled these days? Nothing has changed from the last decade of everyone demanding the government build more fuel stockpiles

And what happens when the supply chain for big cities fails because of lack of refined fuels?

Wonder how many days worth of fuel supply Australia has stockpiled these days? Isn't it about three weeks' worth? The govt inquiry on the subject that was supposed to be finished last year is still ongoing, while the requirement for 90-day strategic reserves is apparently not likely to be met until the mid 2020s.

The govt could turn 3 weeks into 3 months supply with a quick introduction of rationing. I remember the odds and even number plate and emergency vehicles only rationing of the 1980's.

From what I've heard, they have about 30 to 90 days worth. Thats according to friends in the petroleum industry.

At my mine, we go through maybe 150-200,000L per day in fuel. Lets see how long that lasts during rationing
