raaf have had drones for a wile now, and they have been used in the hunt for boat people, I doubt our government will go the same parth as the USA, civilian agencies don't need them, they have plenty of other forms of surveillance

considering how they are tightening the noose slowly, our rights to make informed choices are getting ever slimmer, public services are being cut etc... we are quickly becoming america. the very america that is making reforms to have public services like ours. go figure.

well as a military asset... a drone is awesome to Australia becoming like America, we are already a police state, America still has a wile to go before that line is crossed

actually they can in america to (hold you without trial etc- guantanamo bay is a prime example, i for one would be the least surprised if it turned out they had several undisclosed facilities where people "disappear" to regularly.

Guantanamo bay is a off shore "processing facility" that's outside usa constitutional laws
that's what made it a good site to hold terrorists
it is what it is, but Australia is miles ahead of the USA in being a police state, want proof?? go to a gun shop and ask what's the process in purchasing a working g11 rifle or a ak47 or a ar15......
go to the USA and ask the same question... (we all know the response)
the first steep in becoming a police state is remove the means to start a uprising

as i said, thats only that is above table. i would guarantee that they have some assortment of top secret holding/extermination facilities that are too nasty to tell anyone bar those working there, and perhaps the sec of defense. i wouldnt even be surprised if their own president is out of the loop. and the fact is, if it was half the police state you are describing, ALL firearms would be illegal. like in england. restricting what gund you can get and ensuring ppl with violent histories cant just walk in and go shopping, and making sure you keep them locked up to prevent your kids shooting up the school is a far stretch from a police state. try the uk, where guns of all sorts are illegal, and knives are restricted in a similar way as our guns are. while its getting worse here, we still have far more freedom and better laws regarding the storage and purchase of guns than the vast majority of the world. of course, if you think america is better, you could always move there. just dont complain when the violent crime and school shootings make you realise how silly you were to move there.

that kind i would like myself, for home security. hell, add a hittle mount and actuator and you could make a little flying weapon! certainly would be advantageous should the shtf hey still, im 200% against the govt and military drones (what, you think bombing towns, farms and even weddings fights terrorism? or makes the people so angry and hurt they become extremists to try and survive?) and imho they alrealy have enough surveilance here, thats how they catch criminals all the time. they certainly dont need to be watching us all with drones too.... on second thoughts, maybe i should start sunbathing nude and scare them out of the sky altogether! roflmao!!!

um we have a lot of knife and gun restrictions, at least in the UK you can do more firearm sports, here your class h firearm is restricted to 10 round capacity, that's put a massive dampening to the sport...
Australia doesn't have the protection of the US 2nd amendment, we don't even have a bill of rights...
we don't have any right to bear arms, and to purchase a firearm is a lot of red tape (this should be as far as our laws go) but then you are restricted on what's actually available, and they update these laws all the time because "they feel like it" it's a joke and proves we are a police state
the UK is slightly further than us in a police state policies, there is a camera on every street corner, but the UK has always been restricted in what they do...
get use to it, the she'll be right mate attitude of the Australian population, more restrictions are to come, give it time we won't be able to go out at night because it's "too dangerous" will it be then when. it's too late that Australia will realize that it's a police state?? where any uprising will last seconds not years, and anyone that speaks out "disappears to Christmas island"

Australia to buy U.S. Triton drones to secure Indian Ocean resources
Source: Reuters Australia to buy U.S. Triton drones to secure Indian Ocean resources
Australia has committed to purchasing the U.S. Navy’s MQ-4C Triton unmanned aircraft, its prime minister said on Thursday, continuing a trend amongst Asia-Pacific nations to protect commercial maritime interests amid rising regional tensions.
Prime Minister Tony Abbott said that Australia will acquire an undisclosed number of the surveillance aircraft once they become available. The U.S. Navy is still testing the Triton and has plans to buy 68, with the first due in service in 2017.
The aircraft will be used “to secure our ocean resources, including energy resources off northern Australia, and help to protect our borders”, Abbott said in the statement.
Defence analysts say maritime surveillance is the most pressing security need in East and Southeast Asia. Rival maritime claims that have pitted China, which has one of the world’s fastest growing militaries, against Japan and other Asian nations have made the South and East China Seas dangerous flashpoints.
More than 80 percent of China’s oil imports transit through the Indian Ocean on Australia’s west coast. Japan, India and South Korea are also dependent on Indian Ocean routes.

(And he has paved the way for more Australian jobs to be outsourced with the reintroduction of the 457 visa - thank you P.M Tony A. and Agenda 21).
Tony Abbott announces spy drone boost for South Australia | AAP | March 13, 2014 11:32AM
A FLEET of surveillance drones will be based in South Australia, delivering a $100 million boost to the state, Tony Abbott has announced. The federal government is buying the Triton Unmanned Aircraft for long range maritime surveillance.
Mr Abbott made the announcement while campaigning with state Opposition Leader Steven Marshall ahead of the state election on Saturday.
The drones will be housed at RAAF Base Edinburgh, Mr Abbott says.
“There’s ongoing defence work in South Australia and that’s going to be good for jobs and prosperity,’’ he told 5AA Radio.
He said there would also be $78 million of work for the state from the Wedgetail AWACS program.
Mr Abbott defended the prospect of potentially using skilled migrants for the projects.
“I don’t think people should be anxious about using 457 visas,’’ he said.
“If we need the job filled it’s better to fill the job temporarily from overseas than not have the job at all.’’
To use 457 visas employers have to go to strenuous efforts to search for an Australian worker initially.

If so worried about unemployment why not save one of those companies going under or not selling qantas off shore. How much you want to bet he has a friend in the company?

Sent from my GT-S7500T using Tapatalk 2 That was part of the original draft of AGENDA 21 - to shed jobs from industrialised countries to third-world ones. Labour is also cheaper. It is often referred to as 'Out-Sourcing' as well. How often have you rang a company about something and get some one who hardly speaks English and has no idea what your talking about - usually involves then being shuffled around more people - 'off-shore' - who also have no idea what your talking about and don't comprehend that you can't get to the nearest service centre as that is really hours away and hundreds of km's away!!! One time after phoning one phone carrier I think I was divert (accidently) to an Australian - we had a good old yarn and the issue was solved in less that 2 minutes!!!!
But lets keep sending our jobs Off-Shore!!! Lets keep supporting Globalization!!! Lets keep supporting AGENDA 21!!!
I have been around for a year or two and progress is not always for the better. (Did you know once upon a time in a pub you could leave a $20 or a $50 on a bar - wander around take care of business and still order your drinks from your money at your spot - further to this when you we ready to go home 'ALL' your change was there waiting to be collected).
Progress - is it really a good thing - and what did we loose to get it.
I think we lost our integrity as a people and our rights as individuals.
Because once you have lost these - for a better life - they are gone forever. (Isn't it grand that in the days of so many labour saving devices - we simply don't have time anymore!)!

Got a couple of vid/youtube links that give a pretty simple version - will pull them from my archive over next day or two - I think this warrants it's own thread.
As for "The UN removing world hunger by 2020" - aint gonna happen.
We are on the cusp of a global water shortage and food shortage as per the WEF.
Can post all that as well - it will need a separate link also as there are loads of information - the one I found was the global risks list went from 37 to 50 in last two years.
