I suspect that once several thousand trucks start to clog up the nation's roads, the Polifilth will enact some form of censorship on the news, by shutting down parts or all of the mobile phone networks, and internet to prevent the protestors from contacting each other. This tyrannical Govt could do anything they wish at this point and no one is stopping them. Hats off to those truckies trying to get some sense into a senseless situation that has been created by power hungry so called leaders who now they have had a taste of power, will never give it up. I'm not saying that UHF CB comms will work or stay up, as they could try and jam it as well, once again to prevent people from communicating their intentions with others. Ham radio is different, lots more frequencies available, lots more power, better aerials and so on. Much, much harder to jam or interfere with, and probably outside of any group apart from the military, and then the amount of power needed to jam all comms would be massive, and probably kill most other radio station reception as well.
The Toll drivers are striking for better conditions and at the being forced to get tested 3 or 4 times a week, Linfox drivers are doing it for much the same reasons, and the rest of them next week are aiming to either bring the Govt down, or at least to their knees.
The general public does seem to be getting some form of message through their heads that all is not well, a in Coles today, saw a bloke with 2 trollies and 10 off 10kg bags rice, another lady with a trolley full of TP, and someone else with dozens bottles water. Also, there were some holes on the shelves in Wollies, especially frozen foods and water/tinned milk.
Got to be up at dawn tomorrow driving a header, so bed time now.
Growing old is mandatory, growing up...optional !
