The liberals here just spent $610 or so million to have an election to still not have a majority..
They have not said if, when they will call parliament back.. But have said they will be raising the carbon tax to something like $300 a ton... When they instituted this they promised it would never be more than $70 a ton...
There are several big stores in town with big parking lots that have installed electric car recharge stations... I have never seen a car at one of these stations... I'm going to guess there was a big government grant or some such incentive to build this..
I do wonder how they work... Is it a flat rate to charge to full capacity regardless of your battery status ?? Is it a metered charge according to the level of your battery when you hook up ??

Probably free power, as that seems to be the way Libtards operate, give everyone free everything and tax the businesses to hell. On the tax note, those of us who have invested in multi KW off grid power systems, and produce our own gas from wood waste with pyrolisers, will be millionaires under such a scheme. Bring it on !!!

Carbon Credits are part of the Climate Change scam, perpetuated by politicians, businessmen and shallow thinkers. The fake science was debunked long ago, when it was called global warming and conmen and idiots were running around crying that temperatures were increasing, the icecap was melting, sea levels were rising.
And yet, decades later we have large falls of snow in the Australian Alps at the end of October. Unprecedented.

And yet, decades later we have large falls of snow in the Australian Alps at the end of October. Unprecedented. Whether or not its a scam is irrelevant. Its an opportunity for the the rich to make more money and for politicians to have more power and control. Its a fait accompli. The way people have been so readily manipulated with fear & biased media should be pretty indicative of how things will unfold and how the public will conform to the personal carbon credit agenda. The public has shown a great willingness to give up their freedoms and little appetite to take a stand against infringements on their freedom.

So the EU are trying to hash out their carbon pricing plans. You know, the future carbon credits/allowance scheme they are working on.
This year we are hearing that yachts and mega-yachts will be exempt. Cruise ships, ferries and fishing boats won't be.
Last year they said that private jets are exempt, but airlines aren't.
There's a pattern here, I just can't see it...

In principle, not really against this kind of thing as long as it is fair and applies to all. /ducks/ Take the 'petrol powered recreational vehicle'. The emissions from ICE vehicles kill millions of people each year. There is no penalty/tax whatsoever for it. In economic terms, it's an 'externality'. You get to kill others so you can have a vehicle that goes VROOM!. Because that sound is important. Nothing to do with the climate change debate, purely a health issue. Also, take those who fly on private jets to climate conferences. This has to stop. Either in cattle class like the rest of us, or do it over zoom.

Are they going to ban volcanos and fine Tonga for putting more carbon and chemicals in the atmospheres than what Australia would do in 20 years.

Up here I believe there was in incriment increase in the carbon tax at the first of the year.. That is likely why fuel prices have jumped as they have..
Of course none of the media mentioned anything about this.. At least of the "trusted media" pool..

The global fuel price increase has more to do with the crude price increasing. It wasn't long ago the price was negative. Now it's $90. Russia is a massive oil exporter and the tap is being turned off.
