Chinas water situation getting desperate. www.zerohedge.com/geopolitical/china-verge-major-food-crisis-part-2-waterAt a minimum, a civilization requires 1,700 cubic meters of water per person per year to be considered water secure..... Beijing is currently sitting at 100 cubic meters of fresh water per person per year. Barely seven times the necessary minimum for a person to remain healthy, with the rest stretched thin and endlessly recycled as it eventually becomes useless for any purpose which brings it into contact with humans in any way..... With the way that the CCP is treating it's citizens over their zero covid policy, I don't seem them caring about the fresh water situation. I'm sure the party leaders and those in power positions have sured up their own private supplies of water and food to sit comfortably

China has a neg birth rate and aging population.

China has polluted practically every underground water source that it has. The obvious solution is to continue to dam the rivers which flow into Burma, Vietnam etc.
The falling birthrate will also be a catastrophe for them. China will get old before it gets rich.
Japan is managing its ageing population via technology as it is a wealthy country, vastly richer than China. China is unlikely to be able to do this. A massive problem for the CCP is that their 'plan' to invade Taiwan would leave a generation of parents hitting retirement age, that no longer have their only child to look after them. China is not even remotely socialist, with no real working pension scheme. In almost every case, the children are expected to take care of elderly parents. So Winnie the Pooh's wars would have catastrophic consequences for China, even if they win.

Thousands of container ships are currently stuck off the coast of Shanghai waiting to get a spot in the port terminals to get loaded up. This is going to cause a massive backlog in both oil shipments and goods coming out of China due to their 2-week Lockdown in Shanghai and going government crackdowns on the civilians. We will again start to see bare shelves at places like kmart and bigw due to this backlog. m.facebook.com/story.php?story_fbid=1175169886576835&id=100003367869908

Yep, there's been several ransomware attacks in the US that have flowed into the AUS market over the last year. I can't remember all of them off the top of my head, but I know there was one related to the meat industry and one related to a fuel supply issue. I think that's just going to become more and more common because it's a cheap and easy form of attack. Why worry about attacking someone's soil when you can just attack the whole country's logistics?

I worked for a company that was victim of one. We all effectively went on paid leave for a week while it got cleaned up. Still required to turn up for work, but not much could be done, so loooooong lunch breaks and short days.

You'd probably be one of the first people to see the realities of it though. I don't know that I'd be too happy about it for more than a minute or two but I wouldn't say no to a week of paid leave rofl. But yeah definitely would make your eyes go wide for a bit for sure. It's amazing how the distance can mean very little when it comes to supply and management.

Wait until the hackers start attacking tractors and other farm machinery, how secure is your new fridge with wi fi and internet connection ? That should give some people something to think about !
You know you own an old tractor when.....5 PSI of oil pressure seems rather high.

(yes I know they've been around for ages and I'm a luddite.) It's one of the reasons I don't think self driving cars are a good idea.

A luddite suspects technology will destroy the world. A technician knows how.
Even more so for engineers but they know to keep quiet.

And are you still relying on an electrical grid that can be disabled, or even sabotaged, like the voltage and frequency changed at random by a hacker, leading to destruction of your appliances ? Get OFF THE GRID.....NOW people. How much more warning do you need ?
All the talk about China and its non nuclear EMP weapons, CME outbursts from the sun, terrorists attacks, and so on.
Its nearly too late to leave the cities and look for land and have the time to set up some gardens, water, power etc.
You know you own an old tractor when.....Scars left in the pavement by the disk harrows don't worry you as you know the harrows were there first.
